My first cat was Tuppence who was a year older than me. Mum then got Suzy who was 6 months younger than me.

You can see that my love of cats and black semi longhairs in particular started at a very early age (this pic would have been late 86/early 87)  :evillaugh:

I love your old cat photos !!!!
Here is me with my mum back in the late 1970's. Me with my first cat "Toots" and her 3 kittens

The second picture is of Toots with one of those kittens "Whisky" who we kept.

Lovely photos.  :)

I don't think we have any photos of cats we had when I was young. Only Sukie, the cat my mum got around 1988. She went blind at 6 months old and my mum had her for 12 years - refusing to go on holiday or move anything in the house in case she bumped into them.

Lovely pics and memories, priceless; took me back 50 years to the days when our boxer dog used to steal my dolly mixtures, happy days.

What a lovely timeline and how great that you have those old photos  :)  Have to say I can see why Saffie might be a bit grumpy, she is wearing a bandana vest  :evillaugh:

Aw lovely pics, unfortunately no-one in my family has ever kept cats, looks like some really fond family memories there  :Luv:

I was brought up around kitties, recently I've been going through my mums photo albums and finding pics of all the kitties we've known and loved!  :Luv2:

This is Saffie as a kitten in 1997, shes still going strong 13 years later. Originally my sister's cat, she left her behind when she moved out so she still lives with my mum and dad.
She's a grumpy git, always has been and wasn't fond of me when I was younger but her dislike of me led to my mum getting Lacie for me! -

This is Thomas, he was soft as anything, a real sweetie who didn't have a nasty bone in his body. I think this photo was taken around 1984 when he was about 10.
I only knew him for about 4 years but always remember him having a liking for Monster Munch, sneakily feeding him chicken under the table on a sunday and peering over him to watch TV when he sat on my knee! -

Heres Tigger, my mums baby boy. This was around 1974, he used to wait for my mum everyday when she got home from work, sadly he was hit by a car aged 2 - my mum said that it broke her heart  :'( -

This is my Grandma & Aunty with Snowy, sometime in the mid 60's. My aunty used to dress snowy up in baby clothes and push him around in a pram!  :innocent:

Last but not least is Lucky (black cat, the white one in the sink is Snowy again). He was my Grandma's cat in the early 60's, this is the only photo of him that exists -
