Did you ever find a cat? It's just I read of a three legged pure white male not so long ago.

Good news (sort of!) from vet.
He has fused and malformed bones and was probably born like it so does not need his leg off.
I have asked them to chip him so that wherever he ends up at least he won't have to go through this again (and cost some other charity over £300!).
So we have one very unusual cat on our hands..... will phone around the Rugby vets on Monday.
Shows how important chipping your pets is - especially as the prices have come down. Regent vets in Coventry are charging £6.99 at the moment with the pet vaccination in Coventry promising to match this and Woodlands in Bedworth are now doing it for £6.50.

We had a call during our meeting last night, a cat in Rugby with a broken leg. He's at the vets now (at opposed to vets now who had him overnight!) for a xray and possible amputation......
Mods- is there anyway you can email mdueal to see if she is still looking as I don't have her number - she phoned me up originally and I suggested she post on here? I shall pm , but ob. is they don't come on......

Hi Helen!
There are so many "types" of cat that get overlooked. If you're looking for a harder to home cat, I wouldn't limit yourself to three legged cats!
Welcome to Purrs.

Sorry to hear about losing your cat
Hope you find your perfect new cat soon
Love the name wonky btw
P.S Your home sounds idillyic, one of my boys was putting himself forward for a voluntary amputation in the hope that you would choose him

Thanks for your welcomes guys - this is such a friendly site!
Is it really bad that our other three legged cat was called wonky?? He answered to wonks though or 'wonkus cattus' depending on what mood he was in!
Poor mite - he only had one back leg due to fox attack. It must have been bad as whole hip on that side had to be removed.
I know it is probably mad to look for three legged cat specifically when there are so many cats needing homes but I dont like the thought that such cats often get overlooked.

Hi,
We sadly lost our beloved pet cat and are looking to rehome another. We have experience of looking after three legged cats and would ideally like to rehome another as we know they are often overlooked in rehoming centres.
We are a young couple living in a rural area in a small but quiet house with a garden. We have no children. We have other animals but they are all outdoor livestock type animals - so no bother to a cat!
We even have a lovely wood burning stove and sheepskin rug just waiting for a very special cat to make its own!
Thanks, Helen
