Hi everyone, it's been a long time since I've been on here as life has been pretty manic for a while but a big HELLO to anyone who remembers me!
I was hoping to pick you brains and see whether anyone has found a solution to this situation before. We are moving house in a couple of months into my Husbands parents place. Now, it's a mid terrace so there's no access from the back to the front without going through the house. This however is only slightly relevant.
At the back of the house there is a set of French doors which are full glass. This obviously poses a cat-flap problem. Now, I know you can replace the whole glass panel with one that has a suitable hole cut in order to fit a flap however I presume this will be pricey. We were wondering instead whether it's possible to replace one of the side panels (maybe half the width of a normal door) with a solid UPVC panel in order that we can make a hole in it to accommodate the flap.
Has anyone found anywhere that sells such a thing before or have any other solutions which might help? I've been googling but didn't find anything of use. We can't fit a flap with a wall tunnel as the walls are cavity filled and therefore not suitable for that.
TIA
LJ xx
