We are in an unfortunate position where we are having to consider rehoming our cats.
We have taken care of these lovely cats after my mum had to move into a relatives house. She couldn’t have the cats due to an aggressive cat in the house that kept chasing them out. They wouldn’t settle, and kept leaving. We took over the responsibility until my mum was in a position to take them back. However, she has not found herself in a position to be able to do this, and no longer can. We’ve had them for around 3 years now, and we are planning on emigrating to Australia very soon, and although we would love to be able to take them with us, we cannot afford / don’t want to put them through the stress of travel. My mum still isn’t in a situation where she can take them back, so want to make sure they are placed into a really caring and relaxed home, who will love them as much as we do.
Noodles is a black short haired moggy who is 7 years old, and Pootles is a black/brown tortoise shell moggy who is 6 years old.

Noodles did have an issue with his bladder a few years ago, however this has now been resolved due to feeding him prescription food from the vets since this incident (Urinary dry food manufactured by Royal Canin £27 per bag and lasts him 2 months). Since being on this cat food he has been very well indeed, no further bladder problems and he is a very happy cat. If he is rehomed, my mum will pay for the first 6 months of cat food from the vet for their new owner.
Below is a little description of both cats characters, their likes/ dislikes etc:
Characters
Both - love attention at times, but equally happy to be left alone. Noodles likes to clean pootles which is funny.
Pootles - Loves attention, can often be found sunbathing in the garden, and never too far away from the house. She loves a play and a tickle and to be rolled over and teased. She will play with you by trying to swipe you but she never hurts you, she just likes to play and a bit of rough and tumble. She will always greet you in the mornings (especially when you’re getting ready for work) and at bedtime.
Noodles - Very chilled out boy, easy going and laid-back. He likes to stroll a bit further, especially when it is sunny, but will always come home and greet you after work and at bedtime. Loves being picked up on his back and tummy tickled. Is a very endearing cat, very calm and loves to be spoilt. Beautiful to look at, a strong but gentle cat.
Cat's likes and dislikes
Likes Whiskers fish wet food, and also any special treat like the Gourmet tins you can buy separate with real prawns etc.
Do they get on well with children, other cats or dogs?
Get on well with each other and other cats. No issues with family, friends or children, and happy to get stroked by anyone. We have a dog who they are used to. They both let him sniff them, but they will let him know when they have had enough.
Up to date with vaccinations? Neutered? Microchipped?
Both neutered. Will be vaccinated and micro-chipped shortly
Type of home good for them:
We feel a nice family home with a private garden would be good for them. But due to their age a retired couple would also suit them. Someone who has had cats before and who is willing to give them the love and attention we have, and people who understand the need to keep Noodles on his prescription cat food long term . Even though they are used to our dog, we feel if they are to be rehomed with a family or couple with a dog, then the dog needs to be calm, not aggressive and used to cats.
We are willing to travel to give our cats the right home. Where possible we would like our cats rehomed together, but if they find the right homes apart then we are willing to do this if a last option.
If preferable we would like them rehomed in an area where there is loads of greenery, not build up or near a busy town and away from busy traffic. We live in a quiet little cul-de-sac with friendly cat-loving neighbours in the middle of a green, fieldy and safe suburb, therefore we would really like them rehomed in the same type of environment.
Please someone care for our 2 gorgeous cats who are both gentle natured but fun-loving and will make two great family additions. We just want them to be safe and cared for as much as we have.
