I wish I'd read your thread a month ago when I got 2 of my cats microchipped! It cost me £25 per cat at my local vets. I live in Nottingham so will pass your details onto anyone I know requiring microchipping - thanks RACR :)

Wow they charge alot for Nottingham area, what vets do you use? I know further down south you go the more they charge..

Most animal buisness insurers give a list for what the insurance is needed for, if Reiki isnt on there you can select other and typoe in what it is and they will give you a qoute :)

I know this is nothing to do with microchipping but wondered if anyone knew what insurance I would need to be able to do Reiki on animals.  I have both levels 1 and 2 in Reiki and Seichem levels 1 and 2.  I want to specialise in the animals as it is not available for animals in my area.

Peddy mark have this company on their homepage http://www.hiaint.com/

I cant see anywhere suitable for micro chippers though, or am I going blind?  :shy:

If you click on the general risk management and then pet trades it does show mic-chippers there. ;)

Who have you taken out your insurance with?  I have done the course and was thinking about starting to advertise but need to get the insurance sorted out first.

Well done that's great news! I'm sure you'd make a fortune (well hopefully) if you could go mobile. Get a little ice cream type van and get that bell ringing in all the counties. It's the least a responsible pet owner can do is microchip all their pets. Go girl!

No it was with with petlog, pet detect. They now have online registration which is alot better.  The course i found easy. I got nervouse thinking I wouldnt be able to do it as people said its hard as skin are tough, but I managed it real easy. Dogs skin is a bit thicker but not too bad.
