I remember once a lovely Brindle cat was brought to my door by a woman who was drunk, she said she had found it on the busiest road in Chesterfield. She signed it over although gut feeling fold me the cat was hers. she knew just too much about it. I immediately fell in love. The next day quite late at night there was a knock on the door it was the woman (drunk) with a cat basket, saying I want the cat, I said sorry it was a stray and you signed it over, she skept repeating I want it, in the end my husband who is usually the most placid man you would meet came to the door and told her to ‘go away’ but not quite like that. In a very short time that cat became unhomeable, (because I adored it, I did not want to let it go). When anyone came to view cats I didn't show Abbey. Then one day a lady came to view kittens and there was something about her and I knew she would be perfect for Abbey and something just made me say Oh! and have Abbey here, she is adorable. Abbey and a kitten found a purrfect home. I try very hard nowadays not to indulge myself but sometimes it is very difficult especially if there is a Brindle and if the are Brindle and old it is it even more difficult for me to let go.
