Thanks. Madam is of course fine. No signs of any issues.

She does this to test me I know she does.

Glad she is back to normal, it's quite obvious what was wrong - she just needed even more attention showered on her!

Lexy is doing well this morning. Let her mum go to work ;D

She was purring well this morning, woke me up. She got a nice treat this morning with Sheba complete with her dry food.

Not limping anymore that I could see but then again, she does put it on a bit! Drama Queen.

Sounds like what happened with Tiger at the end of last year - I took her up cos I had to pick Shadow up and take Chi to be scanned, but vet couldn't find anything!! She limped when I tried to get her in the carrier, but stopped at the vets!!

Lexy is doing well.  Purring like a trooper. Possibly landed wrong on her feet and limping to get sympathy.

Vet said to keep an eye on her but nothing to treat yet if anything at all.

Thanks to all her Aunties. She's ignoring her little sister for now she says !

Hi Ruth and Lexy

Hope the vet didn't prod you with too many needles and you are feeling better. Garcia, Sam and Purdy say you should play the sympathy vote and you might get some chicken out of it!  ;)

Hope Lexy is feeling better soon.

Love,
Claire xx

Vets out at 7:30pm, (so may be late for the Union Meeting)

Thank you Franta, Lexy is oh so weak and waves her little paw to say she shall recover!

Auntie Ellie.....HANDS OFF!!!

Thanks all again. Madam is sat here with me on the sofa wondering what I'm fussing at. She's not limping as heavily as earlier so I am hoping its nothing!  Typical the vet will get here and she won't show a sign of anything and will make me look like a neurotic mum!

Lexy says thank you to her Aunty Helen and Aunty Lynn for the hugs...but not to worry, she's sunning herself in mummy's bedroom - can't figure out what the fuss is about!

Yes, Lexy had probs with her hind legs before, but she's been pretty good since last year...this is her front paw now... Little sod is just looking at me like I've gone crazy...blinks her eyes and goes back to sleep!

Poor little Lexy, please give her a gentle head kiss from me  :)  Was it her knee ligaments that she had an operation on before?  It couldn't be linked to that could it?

try not too worry too much, it doesnt sound too serious and i would think your thoughts of jarring it might be right, however i know what its like with cody recently.

I thought that too. She has her radiator bed she hops off from onto her cat tree and then down on the floor. I can only think that is it.

When I managed to sneak a look she let me touch the leg but not the paw. The pads look fine, healthy and pink, the claws are ok I think, but I can't tell if its swollen or not.

She is using that paw to push her toys around with as she can't put her weight on it, so I don't know :(

My baby seems totally unperterbed by it, but I'm slowly worrying myself silly.

im not sure ruth, maybe she jumped down and landed wrongly on it ??

will she let you have a look at it properly  to see if she has any swollen or cut bits or maybe a torn claw or something ?

hope it gets better soon, i am sure there is a purrs virus just now lOL coz all our cats seem to be getting something or other. :'(

Lexy limping... and less worried about it than I am that's for sure!
« Reply #1 on: April 02, 2007, 13:20:32 PM »
Having falled on my posterior and lower back fairly hard on Friday, I have had a tough time the last few days. Decided to take the day off work today.

I did my usual routine this morning, albeit very slowly, of cleaning up after Lexy and feeding her.

She seemed to be chirpy was all around me this morning getting me out of bed etc.

But at about 10:30 i noticed she was limping, favouring her front right paw.

She's chripy, wants to play with her toys etc, but growled and hissed like the devil when I tried to gently investigate her paw.

So...vet coming round later this evening. Lexy is due her annual check up and vaccinations this month anyway so it won't be a wasted trip for the vet, but worried anyway.

i wonder what it could be. She's not off her food that I have seen, she ate well this morning, but I wonder if she hurt her paw/leg after she ate. She wants to play and wants to be around me so I hope thats a good sign.
