Come to think of it, the first time this happened I think she was stressed as Harry had been having a mental round the house- he dont care if the other doesn't want to play he will chase untill they do

And the second time I woke her from her sleep, so it could of been the shock of me doing that that stressed her

Seems she's just a stress head

Back from vets, she meowled all the way there and the way back

Vet checked her over and had a good listen to her heart, asked is she fine in herself, which I said yes. He said her heart sounded fine and she's healthy other than being 1kg overweight.

I asked about the agression, and she was getting a little agressive with him at the time, he said it could be because she's out of her comfort zone and more stressed than usuall.

So showing agression seems to be Tia's way of showing she is stressed

Other than that he said she's fit and healthy

Going to the vets tomorrow now as Ollie's vet isnt there today, I only use one vet with Ollie

Like I said she's more of a dog than a cat, she lays like a dog and when you give her something to play with, she shakes it as a dog would

That's a toy! (I'm kidding.

) She's lovely. Maybe if the others could stand it restrict free feeding if possible? I know that's difficult (I have gannets share out home...) but sometimes if a cat is a binger it's the only way to control the food intake.

Sage is currently going through a regurgitating phase and if it's not sorted by the end of next week I'm taking her to the vet.

No Jack, she's fine with the others I only put 4 dishes out at a time now- I have 6 cats, so sometimes she even sits and waits for a dish to be free. Its when the dishes have food in and nobody is around that she is munching more

She is now actually a part of my others little gang, cept her and Lyla sometimes have a falling out

, but she's getting on really well with the others

I actually think she is Ted's secret girlfriend as I catch them having little "kisses" all the time

This is Tia on a typical day, so certainly not stressed

It's alright CC, we know you'll be taking her this week. Let us know what the outcome is.

With regards to feeding - have you tried feeding Tia separately? Is there any way you can do that? She might get a bit food possessive to begin with but if she's only been with you around a year she's probably still adjusting to "sharing her food."

Vet time, now - no point hanging around on here wondering if she's ill or not when she could be in real pain, or having seizures.

I have no clue Tabs as she came here as a stray last summer, having a rough guess I would say around 4-5.

This is not a normal occurrence for her, its happened twice since Christmas. The first time I think she was having a mad one with Harry and I thought she may of got herself a bit exhausted but the other night she was just lying down- I stroked her and she went off it, growling biting and scratching as if I was another cat trying to attack her or something

She is usually very placid so it was a bit of a shock

She only dragged her behind around the first time, not the second. When she done it it was as if she had been in an rta and was acting out in pain, but thats no reason for it to happen again cos she doesn't go out of the house to be hit by a car.

She could have high blood pressure as she's quite a hefty cat, on a small frame.

I have cut all of my cats food down now but she still doesn't seem to be loosing any weight, surely by now she should know she is going to be fed regularly.

I think her being stray had made her think she has to gorb the food while it's there, hence her getting rather fat rather quick.

How do I make her know it's not a race for the food and there is going to be some there for her

My others are fine with her being here and they all eat together now, in the same place

Hi CC how old is Tia?
Im just asking because Mogs was dragging her back end just before she was diagnosed with High blood pressure. It can affect the eyes and Mogs was very vocal and growly over it. I guess vet check is the best thing. I hope shes ok

CC I dont want to worry you and I hope I am completely wrong, but I witnessed this with Buster so many times and then with Fuchsia last week, both heart problems, Think perhaps getting her weight down would be a good start.

Oh gosh I wouldn't know, but then its the cat that the vets told me was expecting, so Im guessing they would of picked it up when they seen her then- she went to the vets about 5 times in 2 months.

She is a fairly big cat and I think her weight could be putting some pressure on her.

I suggest a vet visit if you are worried or next time try to feel inside back leg to see if its cold esp as she drags back end around if so vet imperitive, I am not a vet and dont like to speculate over other peoples cats causing unnecessary worry but has Tia got a heart murmur?

CC when you touched her did she feel slightly cool ? Think a vet check might be a good idea.

Tia has been doing something rather strange......I tried to stroke her last night and she got all weired, growling aggressively, biting really hard and her pupils were dilated. It was like she'd been possessed!

This has happened once before where she was the same but sort of dragging her back end around, as if she couldn't stand up. She can stand up and is fit and healthy albeit a little over weight.

Im just wondering what this can be or whats going on with her to make this happen? She is fine and that was the second time its happened. Its just really scary cos its like she's not herself and something has happened that really spooks her, she also gets really aggressive when it happens.

Any thoughts?
