Thanks everyone! I think I'm going to go for number 3 just need to decide on the carpet colour now.

I *think* we may also need one of these http://www.kalven.co.uk/playcentre.htm at some point in the future too for when kittens are little  :evillaugh:

Mine have got no 2, but the deluxe version that has two podiums on the top platform (one higher than the other, so the boys can play 'king of the castle'). They've been using it over 4 yrs now, and although it's beginning to show a little wear and tear, it's still going strong.

They never did work out what to do with the rope though!

Thinking about it, the barrels effectively provide extra platforms (looks like enough room for kittens under barrels).

Another No 1 here.

I was unsure because I thought they'd like the rope but also like the barrel so a rope and a barrel would be good (which they don't have!) but....if, - as Rosella says the ropes never get used then I'd go for No1 with just one barrel
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

All 3 look great Lottie.  Kalven are good and solid.  I did wonder if the top platforms in number 1 and the beds in the others were big enough for your babes but now realise it's for kitten room.  I think I'd go for the tallest.

I don't find the cream colour that much of a problem to keep clean altho must admit the top platforms on ours have quite a bit of ingrained black fur on them as they seem to get most use and too high to see properly  :-[.

Our rope had never been used by any of them  :-:

1 here as well. 3 is OK  but the platforms on number 2 don't look very big.

I need something that's really easy to hoover which is why I am not looking at any of the ones that have got beds etc on them.

Then I just need to decide on the colour for the carpeting. I am thinking of sage green as the kitten room is painted in a very pale green and I'm not convinced how practical a cream carpet + lots of kittens is  :evillaugh:

Yep, like all of those!  :evillaugh:

The ones with the beds are ok to hoover - the beds themselves have vetbed in them so can be kept clean too. Your'e probably right about the cream - I'd wanted a pale blue for my new one - but they couldnt get that sort of pale powder blue I wanted - so went for cream as the next choice, but am beginning to wonder if it was such a good idea!  :tired:

Gillian's thread reminded me that I really need to order the new scratchpost for the kitten room soon and I have managed to narrow the selection dow nto 3 so I was wanting thoughts on which you thought was the best. I need something that's really easy to hoover which is why I am not looking at any of the ones that have got beds etc on them.

These are the 3 I like...

1. http://www.catscratcher.co.uk/model12A.htm

2. http://www.catscratcher.co.uk/model10.htm

3. http://www.catscratcher.co.uk/model5B.htm

Then I just need to decide on the colour for the carpeting. I am thinking of sage green as the kitten room is painted in a very pale green and I'm not convinced how practical a cream carpet + lots of kittens is  :evillaugh:
