I ahve noticed that since moving, Chilli is getting more vocal, in a lovely way, she's answering me more and more when I ask her questions and gleefully chirrups quite a lot when I stroke her now :Luv2:

Akamaru's meows sometimes randomly sound like he's saying Hello! It freaked me and my OH out the first time he did it, mostly as we were both in the same room at the time and thought someone was in the house!

Vader only ever manages a "meh" rather than a "meow". I think it's cute!

Milo makes all sorts of wonderful noises  :evillaugh:

Jess on the other hand chippers and chatters away but I've only ever heard him meow a couple of times and that was when he was poorly and on the way to the vets, in face the sound almost broke my heart as we'd never heard him do it before and I can honestly say I don't want to hear it again.

Max was very vocal indeed, he had the loudest meow I think I've ever heard  :Luv2:

Poot started out much quieter, lots of little chirrups and things, and he makes the whiney moaney noises lots too, he always makes me chuckle  :)

He does have a loud meow as well now though, when he sees me coming in from work he is very talkative, then we sit on the kitchen floor having major headbutts and things, he's a dude  :Luv2: :Luv2:

Mogs used to be very vocal but Amber barely made a sound. Just the odd yow when i cooked fish. Now though she seems to have found her voice and lets me know when she wants be to do something like play with her

"Dave mutters and whines away to himself "

Charlie is the same, but occasionally has a little meow. Chuch is as quiet as a mouse and only meows to say 'thank you' when i put his food down!

I wish I'd had a camera handy this morning as Dave was most amusing. I generally finish getting ready before I feed them and Dave follows me round like a famine victim. This morning I was standing in the bathroom putting my face on and Dave was sitting in the hall looking expectantly at me. Every time I look at him he made a little half chirrup sort of meow of pleasurable anticipation as he thought I was making a move to feed him. For my own entertainment I sort of slowly leaned over a bit towards the door, barely noticeable and off he took making aforementioned noise into the kitchen :evillaugh: I gave it a few seconds the stuck my head round the bathroom door and there he was sitting in the hall and once again made the little noise getting ready to race back into the kitchen :evillaugh: He ten gav up and just stared sullenly at me from the hall again :innocent:

Dave mutters and whines away to himself, not sure why most of the time but I think there's a little bit of attention seeking

That sounds like Jaffa  ;D  I imagine him to be muttering "this place is going to the dogs.  the service just isn't what it used to be..."

Mosi either chirrups or shouts.

Our Schui just did silent meows, Byron very rarely meows but when she does it's a really deep one so sounds funny.  Pepper on the other hand never shuts up he chats the whole time, even in his sleep he yabbers away :evillaugh:

Cats are like people, they all have different voices and use them in different ways, some barely use them at all.

Dave mutters and whines away to himself, not sure why most of the time but I think there's a little bit of attention seeking when nobody is awake to play with him :evillaugh: Ohterwise he's pretty silent and I don't often hear him meow really.

Chilli occasionally meows and usually in respose to something I've said but it's very hit and miss and she can go weeks without uttering a word.

I love how they are all different :Luv2:

Jack went one better - he had a silent meow. ;) He did make noises, but they were never "proper" meows. I always found it really endearing. :Luv:

Twiggy and Fern are doing really really well, despite some worries when they were really tiny, they are both full of vitality mischief and life!......thers just one thing that kind of bothers....well kind of worries me a little and that is Twiggy has no MEOW!!!! :scared:

Fern can talk for England, with her constant meows and mews etc....but Twiggy has this little squeak...a weird sound when she tries to meow..... its really strange...and im wondering if somehting affected her when she was tiny.... :( she purrrrrs really well!!! :naughty:

Other than that they keep on growing they kep on pushing the boundaries and getting away with murder!  :rofl:and are absolutley fine....

its just this issue with the lack of a meow!

has anyone else ever experienced that in a puss?
