hiya,

Thanks, I went to the doctor this morning and she's signed me off for another week whilst we finish the tests etc. Mum's not too bad thanks, she's still in hospital waiting for another Medical Needs Assessment before we wknow what's happening next. I'm expecting to hear from the Social Worker as there's no way they're going to send her back to that home, over my dead body as they say. The puds have enjoyed me being at home ao much and i've loved being around with them.

All the best to you bioth

Hi Leigh, you've got to take as much time as you need to get yourself fit again, don't let anyone put any pressure on you to do this or that, let your body work at its own speed and enjoy some quality pud time

Was also gonna ask how your mum's doing?

Hi Sam,

Thanks for asking, I'm getting there. I went to the hospital this morning for more blood tests as some of them clotted first time around and also fasting tests for lypids and cholestrol. Still taking the beta-blockers and waiting for the treadmill ECG test. I've got another doctors appointment in the morrning and hoping that she can start me on the SSRIs. All told I'm feeling a bit more relaxed but stuill get quite tired. It's been great having more time with the puds.

All the best to you and yours

Sorry to hear you're not too good at the moment, Leigh.  Hope you're feeling better soon.  You're right about the furry purries - nothing ever seems so bad when you've got one of them around.

Hi hun, Yes thanks, I'm feeling a bit better, I let things get on top of me somewhat and bottled too many things up. The puds are enjoying having me at home and keep climbing up on me on the settee for a cuddle and I've been pinned to either the settee or the bed most of the time by one or more of them :). I love charity shops and godalming has about 10 dotted up and down the high street so plenty of nick nacks to browse through. As you know, one can find all sorts of things somnetimes at really good bargain prices, bought a great wooden bird scupture for 1.50 some while back, really made my day and my friend found a horse figurine like the one she collects for 1.00 worth about 25.00 so that made her day too :). As I mentioned I'm a "visual" person, and I love to find things that apeal to my quirky tastes :).

Hugs all round and furry headbutts to Maxy boy,

Alfie's 1st anniversary with me on Wednesday so will celebrate one great year together.

Cheers

Glad someone else shares my love of charity shops lol!  Its amazing what you can find sometimes, my house is full of nick-nacks I've collected over the years, nothing matches, but I love it  :wow:

Leigh

Sorry to hear you're a bit under the weather at the moment; the break in won't have helped; these things can't be just shrugged off and this is probably part of what's causing the problem at the moment. Take it easy and take it as it comes and, as you say, the cats are great company.

Thanks,

The cat episode was lovely and I really enjoyed it sitting on my lap purring loudly whilst I stroked it, very un-expected. It was obviously a well cared for pet and very friendly, it certainly sort out a cat lover :)

I posted another threadf about my ornament collecting obsession :)

Cheers

Hi Gill,

I think that collect is too grand a word, I have always been fond of animal ornaments and I'm a visual person so if something catches my eye then I like to get it for my home providing of course it is afordable, that's why I like charity shops, one finds all sorts of things there. It started out with cats, no suprise there :) but has grown to include birds and diolpjhins, only problem is that I'm pretty pushed for space :). Maybe I'll take a few more pics and start another thread. I've got champagne tastes on beer money though so there's not much of value monetarily speaking but they all appeal to my "quirky" visual appertite :).

Cheers

Hi folks,

Thanks for your kind comments. Yes, the cats are great, I think that they know when one's not feeling up to par and, yes, they are a great reason for getting out of bed in the morning, in fact they always get fed and watered before I make my morning coffee :). I had a realy nice day out today with an old friend from my University days, we went to Godalming in Surrey ahnd had a nice fiish and chips lunch. I felt very tired though , the beta blockers are starting to work and my legs felt like two lumps of concrete and I was getting pretty breathless but it was great for my spirits. A lovely thing happened when we visited a local chapel. The chapel was very small and after we walked in and sat down a beautiful ginger and white cat appeared from nowhwere and jumped up onto my lap and, after me stroking it for a while, it curled up on my lap and was happy as a sand boy and looked very agrieved when we left and miaowed loudly. I was concerned that it might get locked in overnight and we left the door open as there wasn't a vicarage nearby, just the chapel and the graveyard. Of course my puds greated me as usual whyen I got back and they're both asleep on the bed now, curled up together as they (Frankie and Alfie) just love each other and Suzie's asleep on the pillow :). I also found a little pet shop and managed to get them their Hills oral bics as my local pet shop has closed down and nowhwere in Kingston sells them. I collect Cat, Dolphin and Bird ornaments and Godalming is full of charity shops so I indulged myself in a small bit of retail therapy and bought a nice wooden painted owl and a nice silver-plated cat ornament. Does anyone else here collect such things ?, isf so I might start and ornaments picture posting.

Cheers

Sorry to hear you have not been feeling too well. Like many of us on here I am sure your little ones will help you on the road to recovery. I know when I was at my lowest the cats were my reason for getting up, otherwise I think I would have just stopped in the bedroom.

Hi folks,

Sorry i've not been around much but all the stress of the last eighteen months and pressures of work finally caught up with me big time and pushed me over the edge so I'm off work at the moment sorting myself out with a bit of help from the Doctor. The puds have been absolutely marvellous and won't leave me a alone, they take it in turns to watcyh over me :), best therapy in the world having 13lbs of furry purring pud on one's lap/chest :) As for me, I just need some good R&R and I'll be right as rain once the tablets kick in :).

A quick Alfie Frankie pic of them asleep together on the bed.

Cheers
