I have to put my toaster away in a cupboard. It was getting too dangerous with a naughty sprayer in the house!  not to mention expensive, having to replace each time.

Was Rosie, yes. I have kept the pictures because I send them to people who ask why I'm obsessed with breakaway collars for mine. (I do warn them that the pictures are bad, though.)

I have to loop blind cords onto something.

Another one to watch is trailing cords from blinds. I always turn my toaster off at the wall as it is a Dualit and doesn't pop up.

Maybe worth repeating warnings about collars - they should always be safety ones. I remember Ela posting a couple of years ago about a cat that had slipped off a window ledge and the collar caught - it wasn't a happy ending  :'( - also the cat Teresa took in (Rosie?) that had horrific injuries from being caught in her collar. :'(

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Crikey, thanks for the warning! I have given myself a shock right up my arm before by picking up a toaster in a stupid way (holding across the centre divide, touching the element  ).

Just wondering if anyones cat has had their paws caught in an electric toaster? As tonight I caught one of mine sleeping quite happily on top of ours with the power still on, obviously no heat was being generated at the time and have now decided to keep the power of until needed...
