I do tend to buy 2 of everything, although not beds as I don't usually buy cat beds.  They consider my bed their bed.   I'd only buy one on bigger items that I know they can share, such as cat tents, tunnels etc.  but if it's smaller toys I buy them one each.

don't buy that many toys as they have no interest in them. Bed-wise, the house is full of them  :evillaugh:

This is just one corner of our lower ground floor where Alice spends most of her time.

A sofa with a heated bed at one end, a dog bed with a flectabed inside at the other. Behind it on the window ledge are 2 dog pads so she is comfortable when looking outside  :evillaugh: . Her favourite ATM is the large foot stool I carried down 3 flights of stairs for her  (There is a wood burner behind the heater for when it is really cold but the other heater is set a 25o C for her  :Luv2:

You can just see outside where there are 2 chairs with beds on as well - they were Willow's outdoor beds  :Luv2:

PS - I will get round to buying a large donut bed to go on the foot stool  :evillaugh:

Ours have more toys than they know what to do with but somewhere in this house is a family of furry toy mice - 27 since the start of the year have disappeared!

They have toy bins in the lounge, the family room, the cat room, the downstairs study and my study - all toys banned from our bedroom as we do need some sleep!

Add in the dogs toys and I knoew I will never feature is a glossy house magazine!

4 house cats and 3 yard cats - one cat bed plus a big box with rugs etc for the yard cats, two proper cat beds and at least 4 boxes for the house cats.

But toys - I think we must have at least 10 toys per cat at home!  Plus at least 2 food bowls each, a cupboard full of cat food (and more in the car), half a dozen blankets, at least 20 towels (one of ours is incontinent), and 2 scratching posts.

2 hand made blankets
7 food bowls
1 water bowl

60 assorted cat toys that I could find (excluding all the straws, bottle tops and pieces of paper that he collects)

2 scratching posts + a scratching cat thingy.

lay me down, let me go, feeling heavy the ground is cold,

I would never risk buying two of something like a bed as you can guarantee they'd be ignored! I just collect as I go along but am sort of starting from scratch again after a jaunt overseas last year.

So currently we have two cat trees, one small scratching post, 1 radiator bed, one blanket and one bed which is on a chair in the lounge. Most of the time though they are asleep on one my bed, my brother's bed or Chilli likes the dining chairs as they have comfy seat pads.

I have a fair few toys but they get played with once or twice then ignored, I still keep buying them though :innocent:

We have folks sit on the floor when they visit as the Lounge 2 Sofas and chairs are usually occupied and noone gets to sit on the conservatory furniture and having folks for dinner means we have to move the beds of the chairs and the 5 on the table!!!

Oh dear this thread has made me count up what the Clan cats have in way of beds etc so here goes

15 Scratching posts not including the small ones for the kittens - (5 of those) the posts include fllor to ceiling to smaller ones
42 beds of assorted varieties from hooded to flat
12 Radiator beds
1 Double bed with duel control electric blanket in the cats room
1 x 3 seater couch, 1 x 2 seater couch in the conservatory
1 Futon and a Maputi barrel in my study
1 x Super  Kingsize bed with electric blanket (this is technically ours but they spend most of their time on it as we work to keep them)

Our visiting cats who comes to stay has 3 cat beds, 1 maputi barrel, 1 double and 1 kingsize bed with electric blankets and furry throws to choose from when he stays

Makes the dogs 2 crates and 2 beds and 3 food bowls rather mean in comparison

I have lost count of the toys and earky one bought 4 wiggly waggk]lers so they all had one each and nobody like them at all.....sigh......so now just get what I think someone will like!

Beds grrrrrrrr are a very sore subject and the birmans can with one small pyramid but dont like it and Sasa used tro sleep in a bed against the radiator pipe last year but hasnt been in it since this time last year.

Have two others of these beds up stairs, one for Franta and one for Ducha. Ducha used the one I got for Franta so bought another and he used that too and Franta wont use them, he also nicked the laudndry basket full of fur covered what evert that Misa then Franta used to use..........sigh.

Sasas fav place is on a leather footstool next to the radiator in front room and when I am in there she uses the sofa in here,

Franta like the big cushion by the radiator in here, the study. and currently is crsping his tail end against the radiator

Misa is half in his filing tray and half on the desk and will use my puter chair at night ot the bottom layer of the filing trays, He also likes the hidy place on the big cat tree f its warm enough.

I cant walk in front room for toys all over the floor

The tent is in an away period cos gives me more space.............I think  :shify:

I think i must buy what i like and if i think they will like it too
I have 4 cats , 12 soft beds ( 5 with heat pads on 24/7 ) 8 tallish scratching posts , around 50+ toys of all descriptions -mainly cat nip cigars, pingpong balls and squeaky mice and 3 outdoor houses for my cats and 2 for strays or any that need to use them when its cold !
Mine are not out at night though - the outdoor ones are mainly for Winston to sit outside in if its raining so he still gets a bit of fresh air !
I have 4 litter trays -although Winston mainly goes outside -all have seperate food bowls/dishes and 3 water bowls and a cat-it water fountain.

OMG!  And I thought Ms Mols was spoiled.         but

People who come in and don't know me think I have at least 3 cats

Here's a pic of just a few of her toys behind the Dreamies.

The rest are in her toy box - Yes I have a toy box for Bonnie!  :Luv2:

Hmmm.....OK, we have 12 cat beds, a main food area, plus bowls in the bedroom and downstairs for biscuits, one cat activity centre, two scratch posts, two wall mounted scratchers, three baskets of cat toys and three litter trays. (Have I missed anything?)

We have four cats sharing the space and despite there being a huge amount of beds, they do share the favourites from time to time.

I only have Molly just now and she is the first cat I've ever had in all my life that ever used a catbed.  As much as my heart bursts with :Luv2: when I see her stepping into int and settling down all cosy n comfy, my petted lip comes on when she chooses it over me.  :censored:   :-:

However - it goes without saying that what is mine, is actually not, but hers.     That includes my bed, the sofa, the chairs, and any new furry blanket that I purchase for me, for the house - that will automatically become a blankat.

toys - this girls has more toys than she needs - and frustratingly, will only play with her favourites - the ones that are now beyond all recongnition and are torn n ripped to shreads.    2 years and she still hasn't got the message that I like the tidy neat look.    *LONG SIGH*  :naughty:

Side note:  TO TABS.   your post made me do the Awwww..'sore scrunchy up face' thing.  <<Hugs>>

When my cats have used beds (these 2 won't!) I have bought them separate beds except Smokey and Timmy and I bought them a large one aswell because they actually preferred to curl up together.  Toys I have just bought whatever and let them share.

Nope - I have more beds than cats, but most have been donated/come with foster cats. The girls favourite bed is mine, Sam's is a blanket on the windowsill. I rarely buy toys, but wouldnt buy one for every cat, and every now and then, I take some to the cat rescue, it is wonderful seeing them play with toys that mine have been ignoring for months

I have 8 beds around a very tiny cottage, because Trigger in particular likes to vary where he rests his little head - and the 8 does not include the cats' own duvet and my bed and sofa, of course

every time I resolve to get rid of one of them I wiill find Trigger using it, for the first time ever, sometimes

all part of my training, I suppose :evillaugh:

I had 3 beds for 2 cats as I was given one and then found that Amber preffered a pyramid and Mogs liked an open bed. When it came to toys again they had different tastes. Amber liked things on sticks, Mogs hated them. I did buy catnip sacks in twos to save them fighting but Amber  usually claimed them both.
Of course now Amber has it all  :'(

I brought a new cat bed for the boys, its big enough for both of them at a push. They have both been using it but not at the same time. So it made me wonder should I order another.

I don't normall buy 2 of everything, but do you buy for the amount of cats you have? (what I mean is if you have 4 cats do you buy 4 toys or do they share)
