wow you really do have a clan!, sorry you got cat fever also, I hope that you are ok now.
Yes, it's sad when they think a simple action like putting down a food bowel is a threat. They are so lucky to have you as a owner

provoked in Aces case is putting breakfast saucer to close with hand - he had always lived outside - he belonged to our feral colony and was a nasty boy unless his Mother Miss Gracie was around and she cuffed him!  He has mellowed over the years but doesn't do touching of any sort in fact he beat the ACP Tablet last time and caused me to be hospitalised with cat scratch fever - swollen arm etc.

He does however love all the other cats and adores the kittens wether feral or domestic and loves his treats in the evening and is very sociable apart from the human touching!

He also loves the dogs now in fact he was claws at the ready and trained both of the boys not to round him up or sniff his bum end unless asked!

I do have Blue and Sammy who are like Ace - althopugh Sammy is geting better and Blue was given the opportunity to go back outside but never left despite the window being open for 5 days - Bklue and Sammy are both injected and ID CHipped but at the time of his boy bit removal we hadn't thought about moving or bringing what was left of our colony with us but then onwe year on we moved the lot with us and made them house cats!

Trouble with Ace he's not scared of anything and is a lean mean nasty machine when provoked by us humans

He does however love all the cats and the kittens adore him and young Sammy thinks he is a god! ;D

This is our darling Ace our really nasty feral totally unhandlable after 4 years, not injected - I have been hospitalised by this boy and worming him is a challange although either I am getting better or he is mellowing  as he took his tablet in roast beef tonight - Robin Profenders him when I'm not in - I don't ask how - he looks so sweet and next to him our ginger feral lady Luna - she is his stalker!

Picture is on a table in my study!

He is done though thats the last time I touched him - he has a long memory! ;D
