Hi everyone, hope a good Christmas was had by all.

My name is Kimberley. I am just shy of 26 years old and proud mummy to 2 British Shorthairs ( & 3 none feline children!). Marley (Coombe park Marley) is a black  smoke and 3 months short of his second birthday. Unfortunately Marley's life has so far been beset with problems including an umbilical hernia and ringworm as a young kitten. He has a food allergy and is allergic to all sorts of environmental allergens from mites to pollen! At the moment Marley is on a prescription diet and piriton twice a day. We have to inject him with a vaccine on a weekly basis also. Despite all of this we have well and truly fallen in love with the breed and wouldn't be without our lovely boy. Marley has a gorgeous temperament and is brilliant around children. So much so were we won over by the British breed that we decided to add to our feline clan. We collected Layla (Windymeadow Sydney), a blue colourpoint just over a week ago. She is 14 weeks old now and a gorgeous feisty bundle of fluff and full of cattitude!!!

At first Layla was kept in the kitchen while we swapped scents with Marley (both are house cats and Marley hadn't clapped eyes on another puss since he was twelve weeks old!) After a couple of days we popped kitty into her cat box and allowed Marley to meet her face to face. All of these introductions went well so now we let the pair of the ramble round together for a couple of hours a day before separating them again. They do have spats and I have to separate them again (Marley is usually more the aggressor). I know things will take time and I'm happy to accept an armed truce as opposed to best buddies! Any reassurrances or advice from people having introduced a kitten to an older solitary cat would be greatly received though.

Hopefully today I will get around to posting both Marley and Layla's pedigrees as it would be great if there were any siblings on here!

In the meantime feel free to ask me any questions and throw any advice my way. I look forward to meeting you all and will leave you with some more pics of my beautiful babies....
