If Lexy is anything like Franta then its your nose you have to check in the morning  :innocent:

Ducha who sleeps on the otherside  just bloomin steals my pillow and most days I wake up with him lying in the middle, how does this happen I hear you ask!

Well ummmmm every little movement I make allows him to put a paw, then a leg under my neck and then he proceeds to manoevre me off the pillow while I am sleeping, sounds like Lexy will have you off that pillow before you can snore

Oh the cruelty!  :shify:

Paddy, I fear that Lexy will have her claws clipped if only to ensure she doesn't hurt herself again. The last two nights she's decided that the pillow next to mine is the best bed in the house to sleep the night away and obviously perfectly placed to hear me stir in the mornings so her nose can be next to mine in readiness for fud. Just as well she doesn't have smelly breath!  :evillaugh: It's for this reason alone I won't be buying this contraption, I imagine my nails would be filed down in the morning (mysteriously).  :evillaugh:

I saw those things on a market stall. There was also a demo video. It is like a motorized grinder so the noise alone would petrify most cats  :scared:

:naughty:  Nope - just suggesting what not to get in the January sales, if you should ever stumble upon such a beast in your shopping adventures.  I gather they sell them in Wilkinsons, T J Hughes and online too, of course...... probably made by JML (not that I'm suggesting you'd wish to take a chance on such a ridiculous contraption.....  :evillaugh:

  Thank goodness for that Janey - I thought someone had spiked my drinking choclit !  :evillaugh:

I know for sure neither of mine would be complicit in such an indignity, although their responses would be very different.  Tess would leap up and bound about and lick my face and offer me the other paw to hold by way of compensation.  Paddy (after he'd clawed my eyes out) would stalk off in disgust - probably at what amounts to high speed for him these days on somewhat arthritic and wobbly legs.  I'd be lucky if he spoke to me for anywhere approaching a day and a half (except to demand recompense by way of "gud fud")

On the subject of claws, there was a tv ad on in the run up to Christmas (not sure if it was on terrestial tv or Sky/freeview) for a little gadget that "trims your pet's claws without trauma".  I was fascinated to see what looked like a small grinding wheel in a little yo-yo style container, which, when you inserted your pet's paw, buffed the nail to salon standards, no fuss, no mess.  Even more fascinating was the fact that the dog and the cat models they chose to demo this amazing little gadget, sat docile and compliant in front of their smug owners.  Does anyone have one of these items, or did I dream the whole thing.....?

:evillaugh: you didn't dream it,  I saw that Sue! it was like those battery operated manicure sets you can get in Boots  Not sure my 2 would sit there whilst I filed their nails down though  :shify:

A little update for everyone.

Madam Princess Stroppy Moo Faberlush Lexy is doing very well. Keeping me up at night  :tired: as she's rediscovering her legs. I do try to get her a good workout when I am home in the evenings so that she is tired at night, but in true kitten style (she has regressed), Lexy needs more than that!

A limp is a given, and we will review again in a few weeks. Suffice it to say, that Lexy is a happy madam.

As for being a kitten.. the eyes are constantly on alert for new toys, tail is always in the air and she pounces. Yes... pounces.  :tired: A lot.  :tired: :tired:

I get more cuddles, usually when I am in the most comfortable of position on the sofa and she wants to settle down in the tiny little spot between my arm and my body  :Luv2:

I do worry about her leg as she does get wobbly now and again, but that is expected and the strength in her leg will improve.

Lexy wanted to send a lot of  and :cuddle: to all her Aunties and Uncles, thanking them for all the wonderful vibes that kept her going strong in her pen for nearly 3 months (yes.. 3 months!).

Now if only I could figure out how to trim her claws without hurting her leg. Me finks vets havta does it  :naughty:

So pleased that particular rollercoaster ride you were both on Ruth is over at last.  Sorry Lexy is not likely to be able to walk normally again but things could have been so very much worse  .  I hope she is comfortable.  How long before cage rest is completely over?

Tell me to shut up and stop mithering you Ruth if you want   :naughty:

Morning everyone

Lexy is doing great. She still has an exagerated limp however that's expected. She'll never walk normally again so we are learning to accept that.

It's a slow progression to good health but Paddy's whisperings and Sasa keeping her ear in to help those vibes have been working ;)

It's been a week since your last post on here Ruth and wondered what progress your little angel had made.  Hope all's well.

Just to say that I know Ruth has had some urgent business to deal with but I predict a positive update shortly, folks  :Luv:
