As someone who doesn't drive I want some sort of carrier on wheels, there are a few out there. I used to live a 10 minute walk from the vet but my arm used to be about 10 inches longer by the time I got there and I'd be very hot and sweaty, particularly taking Dave! Now he's even bigger it will be an absolute nightmare. Next vet trip I've recruited my cousin to come with me as it will be two bus rides and I would be wiped out by the time I got there, getting from bus stop to bus stop to vet!

My Mum said I would be daft enough to get one and she's right! But for practical reasons, not because I'm a crazy cat lady :shify:

I have a stroller that I modified to stack two hard plastic carriers on for when it comes to annual check up at the vets time.

As Suzanne pointed out, some people like me don't have cars, and carrying two unhappy cats in carriers is a bit stressful, even if it's just a 10 minute walk to the surgery.

Sounds like a good idea. Carrying two cats in baskets is not just stressful, it's bloody hard work! I struggle carrying the boys from the car park into the vets and my shoulders are killing me by the time we get to the door which is all of a 60 second walk!

The stroller did originally come with a separate lift in/out sports bag type carrier, but Milo was nervous and peed in it. Despite the vet bed and copious newspaper underneath, the pee managed to seep into the cloth seam and no amount of soaking would get the smell out.

However with a steadying hand on top, I can stack two Atlas carriers one on top of the other and just wheel them round to the vets.

The  boys would actually fit in one carrier, but living alone I've never mastered the knack of getting cat number two into the carrier without cat number one managing to get out of it... :tired:

I got on a bus recently and there was a woman sitting at the front with what looked like a pushchair.  After a while I realised that it contained a small dog rather than a baby!  turns out the woman was going to a dog show.  several other passengers made comments when we got off, and looked a bit sheepish when they found out it was a dog  ;D

Yep, this has definitely been brought up before. I think they're pretty genius if you don't drive and your vet is within walking distance....

I was looking for a new carrier for Bonnie and I came across this:

Who will be the first to buy one??
