Great news!  Bertie's fosterer has decided to add him to his clan, so that's good news for him!   ;D

Any news on this cat?

Sharon (Canterbury CP)  has had an enquiry from an Elderly lady living alone in Bridge (a village outside canterbury) looking for a companion cat and she has nothing to fit the bill at the moment.

Bertie is still looking for a home, although I think the fosterer is rather fond of this old boy, so he might just stay!  I'll keep you posted!  ;D

This gorgeous boy is still in need of a lovely home to wander round and investigate a garden before coming back for cuddles and curling up asleep in the warm!

Anybody know of an elderly couple or single person who would love a lapcat?  He gets a bit grumpy when he's had enough brushing and lets you know, but other than that he's a lovely cat!  ;D

Hi Mark,

I don't want to send him to CP as we're a rescue ourselves ........... I'm looking for somebody who's at home alot of the day who could give this gentle older cat some deserved lap attention!

And yes, sorry Jane we're Lamberhurst area which is near Tunbridge Wells.

Just googled 01892 code and it is Tunbridge Wells (Kent)

Have you tried CP Bredhurst shelter?

They are taking 16 in from our branch next week rescued from a "problem" house.

Poor Bertie is approx 12yrs old (according to neighbours who knew him as a kitten) and has sadly lost his owner who died approx 2 months ago.  Unfortunately Bertie was then just left to his own devices and it was the kind neighbours who kept him going by feeding him.  Unfortunately their cat would not welcome Bertie into their household, so they contact StreetKatz Rescue who took Bertie into the warm.

He is such a laid back gentle cat and is looking for a household where he can laze around on peoples laps and wander outside into the garden.

Have you got a room for an older cat?  If so, please contact StreetKatz Rescue on 01892 821275 or email info@streetkatzrescue.com
