My DeLi is longer-haired too and she just tries to eat the brush, or my hand  :evillaugh:

Thanks Helen, yes she needs brushing, I think she quite likes it though, at first she tries to catch and eat the brush, but once she settles down she'll just sit there as if she was being stroked, I thought I'd have a nightmare with it  :) Her tummy is all shaved as when she was found it was all matted and knotty but the rest of her coat is lovely, when I took her for her injections the nurses all commented on how nice it looked  :)

Thanks everyone, she's a totally different cat now from when we got her, she's not shy at all and totally affectionate  :Luv2: When she wants some attention she'll run along the back of the sofa, look at me and mew, then prod me with her paw until I tap the space and invite her down for cuddles   :rofl: Here's some more pics :)

Managed to get a few pics just now while she was being stroked, was quite hard though because she runs up and down the arm of the sofa so there was lots that were just a Pepsi shaped blur  :evillaugh:

I think she was just pretending to be shy  :evillaugh: We pulled the sofa out to try and coax her to come out from underneath the radiator, at first she seemed really cautious of us so we left her to it and she had a bit of an explore around the room, jumped up on every possible surface, worktop, bookshelf, dresser, windowsill, sofa, mantelpiece etc that she could reach. Then she was running over the sofas between me and my boyfriend who was in the computer chair for strokes, then she came over to me, and flipped onto her back for some belly rubs  :Luv2: We've called her Pepsi  :wow: Will try and get some pics tomorrow and upload them

Kitty has just been dropped off (more convenient today, I've been up and down all day, I couldn't sit still), she jumped out of the basket and dashed into a tiny gap on the bookshelf to hide, then dashed out behind the sofa and squeezed herself under the radiator  :scared: Carol said she's been extremely nervous and shy at the shelter, the other cats were being mean to her and she'll just need lots of love and encouragment so I'm going to leave her be for a little while and then try and coax her out with some kitty treats as I want her to see where her food and litter tray are. I'm so excited she's here though, she's even more gorgeous than I remembered  :Luv2:

Just thought I'd share a picture of my soon-to-be furry friend :D



I went along to see Carol and her kitties at the Cat Orphanage today, and picked out this gorgeous girl to come and live with us, she's getting dropped off on Friday night  ;D She doesn't have a name yet (I have a huge list already that I need to pick from) and she's only been there for about a week or so. Poor little girl, a block of flats in the area got knocked down, and when everyone moved out loads of cats got left behind and she was one of them. She's really shy and nervous around the other cats there, she was hiding behind a swinging chair where she's been sleeping when we were there  :'( I'm so excited to welcome her into our house though, and looking forward to being her new slave!  :rofl:
