A friend at work lost her stripy boy on Friday.

Tiggy was a feral cat that Liz feed and looked out for. It was a long long time before he would allow her to get close, he did come into her flat though, we saw some of the bites and scratches that she had when they first started touching. This was a few years ago, and gradually Tiggy settled down with Liz's other resident cats and harmony was resumed.

Poor Tiggy he was a tough old thing with a mind of his own, in recent months he hadn't been too well with hyperthyroid problems, just as he was about to go off for the iodine treatment he was diagnosed with mouth cancer. The trip to Bristol was cancelled. In recent weeks Tiggy has gone down hill and perked up again, most of this is down to Liz and her constant care and love for him, but sadly on Friday Tiggy's time had come and Liz did the kindest thing for him.

RIP Tiggy you were a special stripy boy.
