Blip takes very little notice of fireworks either way: if there is a particularly loud one, she'll look at me to see how I've reacted and as I'm not the jumpy type, she then just carries on with whatever she was doing.

Jaffa is very much like that most of the time.  He got a bit annoyed last night when he was trying to sleep and there was a bout of particularly noisy ones.  Mosi reacted more than usual and kept running to the windows - not sure whether he liked them or was just puzzled as to what was making the noise.

Memphis doesn't take any notice .. At the moment he is glued to his kitty kopter flinging it all around the place. He will be like that until I take it away from him. Its an obsession with him.

Mig the bun doesn't mind them either, he was snoozing his ears off when I went to feed him a little earlier.

lay me down, let me go, feeling heavy the ground is cold,
lay me down take it slow I'm ready to stumble, sing & then swing low

Mine are quite calm when they are in but if a stray one goes off when its light and they are in the garden they run for their lives  :(
The rabbit loved them tho, would sit on his hind legs like a meerkat and watch  :Luv2:

Pixie loves them! She's sitting at the window right now.
Arty barely bothers to open his eyes if they interrupt his sleep!

Our Burmese Lirael loves watching them.

The other 3 don't seem to care one way or another.

Are the cats who like fireworks also interested in lightning at all?

Mine love them too. We live out in the country now so they only hear the village display but at our old house they used to sit out in the cat run and watch the fireworks.

Max sometimes used to come upstairs and sit on the windowledge with us to watch the display in the park, which is just over the back from our house  :Luv:

I don't think Poot will like them quite so much as he's much jumpier than Maxy ever was, a huge one went off overhead the other night and his eyes were darting all over the ceiling to work out what the fizzing and bangs were  :-:

I've got to go out tonight, so I'm leavng all the lights and tv on for him, just so he doesn't get too spooked, but on Saturday we're staying in for the big display, as thats very noisy

Poot, adopted 14th August 2009. I'm sure Maxy sent you to me sweetie xx

Penny and Squeaky used to watch them, infact we've never had cats scared of fireworks thankfully.

Hands up! Mine do too!  :wow: Riley cranes his neck so hard he looks like a giraffe and watches them out of the window. Lu, who is quite a sensitive/twitchy cat normally, lays there completely oblivious and doesn't even flinch

you wont be expecting this...

i know alot of you have cats that hate fireworks and cats that get very scared but does anyone have cats that like them??

i only ask cos lucifer absoloutely loves them and chases them from window to window merowp-ing and all excited. basically how he reacts to laser pens but bigger  :evillaugh:

spare cat doesnt even flick an ear so i dont think its anything to do with me - it has been suggested that you could probably set one off under her and she wouldnt notice - this is only in jest before anyone worries, theyre both kept in during firework season ;)
