Transpires all my cats are food critics. Not one of them would touch the liver, so am taking the remainder next door tomorrow to see if their cat is more grateful!

Yesterday Noah started on the ready-made raw food from Food4Cats and purred his little heart out same as with the chicken wings. :Luv2:

Trigger loves cooked lamb's liver, but I limit him to a 2inch piece each week

apart from the danger of excess Vit A, he would eat nothing else if he thought there was liver around every day

he has a cooked lamb's kidney each day, though, as I can find no warnings about them

Just be careful with the quantities of liver, they can't have too much cos of one of the Vits, think it is A. I used to give Ginger two small squares a couple of times a week, he loved raw meat, despite having no teeth.

Noah loves raw chicken wings; I roasted a whole organic bird the other day and Noah was by my feet the second I opened the wrapping! Didn't give him any as the chicken was a 'whoopsie' so worried it wasn't fresh enough :-[ but offered him some choice cuts when cooked ... looked at me most unimpressed before eventually eating!

I found chicken livers and sprats in Morrisons today so am going to try both - it's strange that it's cheaper to buy real food than most pet food. Not sure if I can give the sprats raw?

I gave a bit raw and they had no interest at all!

I hate it too!

Try it warmed or cooked or blended raw

Have you tried it with your pooch?

It can be fed raw or cooked, or even just warmed slightly to release the aroma

Are you supposed to give it raw or cooked? I remember offering my lot some and not one had any interest!  :tired:

Yup it is perfectly safe. It can be a bit rich so it might be best to give a tiny amount to start with.

For cats to eat liver? I bought them some as a treat, but wanted to make sure before giving them some.  :)
