First of all i had to get this cat thats been living in my cat house sorted out to go to the vet - he has now been de-matted and going home with the vet nurse and we are waiting test results on his nose as there is a chance he may have cancer of the nose as its a mess !
Left the house afterwards to go out and 2 streets away down a country lane was a ginger and white cat which had been hit with a car at the side of the road - i had gone past and seen it , so backed down the road and another car came behind and also stopped . She had seen it earlier on a school run and came back as she had noticed he/she had a black collar on .
We looked but no disc - we wrapped up in bin liner which i had in my boot ( used for the seat when taking my lot to the vets ). I suggested one of us took him/her to the vets to see if they could find a chip -which she said she was going that way and would do - a very nice lady who said she wasn''t a big animal lover ,but couldn''t leave the cat there knowing it had a collar on as she had friends who were cat lovers . So i also let local cat rescue ( Lincoln cat care ) know in case anyone enquired about a lost cat.
A few hours later on my way home , i spotted a lady stopping her car and picking another cat (rta again!) up from the grass verge - i stopped and ask her if it was okay and she said no -and i think i know whose it is .
She ask me to read the disc and it was who she thought -she was upset too , i went to the house with her , the lady was upset as she had 2 cats and was just getting tea for them and was going to fetch this little one in
.
I was also in tears too by this time , luckily her neighbour came out and they went to sort out burial .
The little cat was black and white and only a year old called Minnie.
RIP little Minnie and the ginger and white boy/girl cat.
