Snorty, Sneezy, Snorey, Snuffly, Croaky Cat

My Blackie was always quite snuffly due to untreated cat flu when she was younger - the problem I had taking her to the vets was she always sounded worse, so they put her on meds, and she was fine at home, so you  might find the same.

Could be.....Like I said Blackie is noisey and Im sure part of it comes from his misaligned jaw! 

If his nose is flat then thats probably it!

the vet would do a home visit, and between us I daresay we could corner him

but his chest is fine, and he has no nasal discharge - I am beginning to suspect his sinuses, and it may be a legacy of his being beaten - his nose is rather flat

If your thinking of getting him to the vets trigger, apart for (good luck) I have left an open carrier about the house before....Well several actually and my Blackie used to go in it no bother.....

May be a good idea to leave it out as he may just be nosey and fall asleep in it sometime!

Your title describes a cat fighting an infection, he could develop pnuemonia from it so would suggest its time to catch him, one jab could save a lot of trouble

THe euchy oil will work without a burner too cos I use it for myself.

Another way is a few drops on top of water with a nightlight underneath id its safe to do that....thats why I dont lol

Eucalyptus (SP?) oil in a burner.....

My Blackie is a right snorer...I can hear him from in the hall over the tv! 

Edited to say....When Blackie was younger he must of got a nice boot off someone and I do think part reason for his loud snore is because of this!

It could be an allergy but unless he appears to have temperature..............I know, you cant get close enough to tell LOL...........or having bad eyes or something serious, I would just leave him for now.

He has to be better inside in the warm, maybe he just isnt used to it .

He obviously wants to be there now, so thats really good

I can't speak for the time he was sleeping out, but he has been like this for the three weeks or so he has been sleeping in the house

he is definitely not ill, his eyes are clear and bright, and nothing has been passed to Trigger or Tiffany (apart from earmites)

could it be the result of untreated cat flu in the past? or damage to his nose, bearing in mind he was described as having been beaten as a kitten by his rescuer?

catching him for a vet visit is not an option while he's well and happy, but is there anything which might help clear his nasal passages which I could administer (at a distance) myself?
