I love white and blacks too. She was a lot better while i was having a break - the room she is in is the cat room, and she enjoyed having a room of her own - now she has a house of her own.

Have had a voicemail from Kizzy's owner this afternoon saying she is settling in well and has even had an explore of the outside. Am glad it seems to be going well for her.

Hopefully just with the stress of the move Des....Im sure she will calm down once she is more at home and the new mum does seem to be putting effort in so thats good news on her behalf!

I have had 2 updates so far - she has reverted back to barely eating, which is what she did when she first came into our care, and is a bit hissy, but the lady seems to be being patient with her, so am sure she will soon come round.

Thanks - not heard anything yet, so things must be looking well, will ring her in a day or two (bit of a busy week this week though - getting ready for a new foster cat, as well as a vet visit for Sam and Zia)

Everything went well - she hated the journey, but had a nice wander round and found a couple of spots that suited her to sit on, and was a bit anti-social, she didn't even care much for coming to me for a fuss, and wasn't bothered when I left, she stayed in her spot on the landing!! She did do a bit of hissing and lashing out at her new owner, but once they get to know each other, I am sure things will be fine.

Thanks guys - the lady has bought some things, and I will be packing her blanket soon (as she has been here so long, I thought a blanket she is used to sleeping on will help her) - my neighbour was still negative about it though, but she has done that before with a long term foster (the only one who has been here longer than Kizzy), and she was wrong then, so I am sure Kizzy will prove her wrong too, I am sure she will blossom in a one on one environment.

This is Kizzy's last day here, she is going to a new home on a month's trial tomorrow, I am sure everything will go well though.

Did Toots find it easy to settle in after being with you for so long Sarah, that is one of my worries with Kizzy?

there will be the perfect home for her somewhere Desley. Longest we had was 2 1/2 years and the most perfect home turned up for her. Was just a shame it took so long to materialise but seeing Toots as happy as she is makes it all worthwhile.

Fingers and paws all crossed that something comes up for her soon.

Do you know, Schui never came to sit on our knees ever, he was a quiet little soul but he would come and lie down beside us after a year or so but would spend most of the time just sat alone. He was actually an extremely loving cat but it took so long to come out of him and he needed coaxing.

I was talking to someone the other day, as her foster cat has been with her for 6 months, and i do believe that cats that have to be homed as only cats are notoriously harder to rehome, as well as the fact she is older, and has issues, although you wouldnt know most of the time now, hte only main giveaway is her anti-socialness, she much prefers to be on her own, although I do believe she will get more affectionate when she is an only cat, as when she first came, she would sit with you, but Sam is very demanding and I think he puts her off. I have allowed her in the cat room though, and I will sit with her, but she still wont sit on my knee, although she does occasionally when I sit outside.
