It does look rather funny though!  :evillaugh:

Sorry, I have reinstated my ramble down memory lane  :evillaugh:

The pub is in Columbia Road market and the landlord used to get paid which was handy as although it is busy with the flower market on a Sunday, it is dead the rest of the week. Also, the cobbled road behind it withthe deli has been used for countless adverts - It is that sort of area that looks untouched sincd pre-war times. Just around the corner is Quilter street where they shot scenes for Mike Leigh's Secrets & Lies.

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

I have never been a fan of it - especially the type that sing Shirley Bassey songs etc  :evillaugh: - I don't mind if they are funny and tell jokes. That is why I always liked seeing Lily Savage years before he was famous.

In fact,I was really embarrassed as once I was in a pub in London with my friend Peri (The pub that was used in the series about the man that goes back in time to the war - with the man from Fools & Horses) and got chatted up by one  :-[- I was really embarrassed and he even came over afterwards and said it was only a job and I shouldn't judge (I was cringing). He said he was a social worker in the day time and to have a think and phone if I changed my mind  Embarrassed (I never did  Evil Laugh )
