My Chilli came back after three months thanks to her microchip. She had taken up residence with some kind lady round the corner who was going to keep her and was taking her to the vet for a check-up when she was scanned! I think she appeared there not long after I stopped with the flyers.

So there is always hope

Of course there is always a chance...there are so many stories of cats being found months and years after going missing.  It's just hard to keep the faith when it is yours that has gone.

Its now 10 weeks since Munki went missing! I think we've lost a bit of faith that she'll return.

We still get the odd phone call and there are posters up here and there but nothings materialised sadly.

Is there any chance now?

Another batch of flyers through doors could help, pinkbears tilly wasnt far from home and a poster did the trick in the end, helps if people put 2+2 together tho  :innocent: the more you remind them the more likely it is to trigger a thought.
Fingers crossed she returns soon

Well, it's coming up to three weeks and still no sign! I managed to get a small article printed in the paper on Friday evening so that's attracted a couple of calls - nothing that's worked out unfortunately but good to know that people care enough to try! Being a free paper it has huge coverage so you never know.

We're just insure whether she's trapped or being fed - the former is a dreadful thought.

What to do....

At this time of year there is a strong possibility he has got himself shut in somewhere and the "owners" may be on holiday.  I would try going round and doing a bit of door knocking again and ask your nieghbours to check their sheds / garages (preferably while you wait).

it's also worth asking round to see if any of your neighbours is away ... as he may be shut in their house.

Keeping everything crossed that your boy will be back home soon xxxx

Comon Munki...Time to Come Home !!!
Hamish went Mssing for 1 week the first time, and 2 and a half weeks the second
the second time He was actually lost, the only way I got Him back was when a 9 year old boy
knocked on my door to say he thought He had seen Him. He had lost His cat and while searching
saw one of my Posters ( He thought Hamish was His cat at first because His one was B/W too )

It's such a worry, but please do not give up

Have no idea where she used to go unless there was  a cat holiday camp that she wasnt telling me about ! Dont give up hope. Im sure Munkis having a whale of a time out there and will be home when hes ready

Oh thankyou so much. I need these little reassurances. You just get that dreadful fear in your mind that you'll never see them again! I'm sure you know where I'm coming from.

It's awful. So upsetting. Only cat lovers get it... :scared:

Sorry to hear about Munki and hope he returns soon.  Never give up hope and hear is a list of things you can do:

http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,305.0.html

Many of them are are the key to getting a cat home....you have started with the posters ands such but late night calling, knocking on doors to get people to search garages and out buildings are two very important ones, the latter cos its holiday time.

Lots of good luck vibes

Hi,   I am so sorry to hear about Munki,   Teabag went missing last year and he was gone for two weeks,   we were desperate and searched everywhere,  put up posters etc etc and then one Sunday morning he just strolled through the back door,  I am sure Munki will come home,  is she has wondered before she is probably just having a little mooch around again,  the weather is OK there are plenty of meeces about for them to catch and she is probably just away on her summer holiday.   I hope she comes home soon

Reassurance needed please...
« Reply #1 on: July 13, 2009, 23:09:02 PM »
Hi furry lovers,

Please reassure me. You may recall me posting here a while ago about some cat related problem or another. You were all fabulous with your advice!

Now, our baby Munki has run away and been gone for a week. We're mortified. She did it once before for just 2 days and came back so that's a positive but a week??

We've put up posters, searched the neighbourhood, asked everyone we can think of, called the vet, RSPCA, council etc so it's now a waiting game.

Please tell me she'll come home. My partner and I raised her from 6 weeks so she's our baby!!  :(
