WEll, the woman sounds perfect, and I will be taking Kizzy over on Saturday - she is going to do it on a months trial basis first, but hopefully Kizzy will be an absolute angel and settle straight in (I am going to take her a blanket from here to help). I think she will be the first foster cat I have cried over when rehoming (the other cat who was here longer than her wasn't too hard to let go as he sprayed in the house!!) - it has taken a lot to get Kizzy from the aggressive cat she was last year to the cat she is now, and I have always had a soft spot for her (even before meeting her actually, her story really tugged at me), and if she had got on with other cats, i would have kept her, but this is what she needs and deserves, and I am glad for the support on here, as otherwise I might have listened to my neighbour, who doesn't think I should rehome her as she wont settle and then the poor girl would have had years of pulling out her fur

I am delighted for Kizzy and many congratulations to you on a job magnificently done. :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:

Thanks everyone - her treat was adult food for the day and some catnip.
I also checked my other e-mail account this morning (I only check it weekly since changing rescues), and someone e-mailed about her on the 2nd, so I have done a quick reply and will ring her when I get home tonight (or maybe sneak a quick call in on my lunchbreak!!) to see if she is still interested. She recently lost a cat with very similar markings to Kiz and would want to foster her first. She is an elderly lady, which might suit Kizzy, so the only real issue would be what provisions she has in case something happens (i.e. family that can step in). Fingers crossed

A very bittersweet anniversary though, she is only the second foster cat to be here a year - I knew she was going to be harder to rehome, but never imagined this kind of harder to home. She is happier now I am not currently fostering, but we have had major overgrooming issues with her this year (the base of her tail is still not right). She is so much better than the cat I picked up from our fosterer a year ago though, you were risking being scratched and bitten everytime you approached her then, but she hardly lashes out now. I hope that someone will offer her her forever home soon, as I think she will make someone such a nice pet - she is even more bonkers now than a year ago though, and one of her sons stayed with his fosterer and he is following suit!!

It is also bittersweet with the amount of losses I have had recently, it just makes  me remember all the ones that haven't been able to see their first anniversary (out of the 10 cats I have adopted, only 6 have seen their first anniversary), and yet a cat that shouldnt still be here has.
Please spay your cat
