Almost 2 weeks later and Hubby has just had to rescue our boy from about 20ft up a tree!

I knew something was odd when he didn't come through the cat flap after I closed the back door so I went outside and called him.  I could hear a little mew but couldn't see him anywhere.

I was shutting the door cos I was cold but now with all that adrenalin I'm boiling hot again!

He's absolutely fine this morning.  He's very affectionate in the mornings which is lovely :Luv2:  Didn't let him out though as don't want him to be out there all day with us at work.  Will get hubby to sort out the fencing tonight and make sure it's safe and big enough.

Pleased that he is home and see you here again to morrow LOL

Ask you OH to make sure that all the wires are tucked well in so that if he pops through he cant get caught on anything, a bigger rather than small hole will be best  :hug: :hug:

HAHA well he definately has his Dad well trained.  I've told Hubby he better bring some wire cutters home from work tomorrow to make a hole in the fence.  Don't want Samson not coming home cos he can't get back over the fence.  It's like that green plastic covered wire stuff so nothing for him to balance on and it's quite wobbly.

Was funny watching Hubby clambering over there though, torch in one hand, treats in the other when he heard the spat :rofl:

Hubby has managed to call him back in but then had to dive and grab him back over the fence as Samson really didn't seem to know how to get back over.  He's come in and is clearing his dinner bowl now so I guess all is OK.

The appearance was fleeting, he's gone exploring again now.  I am pretty confident that he'll come sauntering back in later as though nothing has happened.  There's always that niggling doubt though.

We've scattered a few dreamies at the top of the garden too, he'll usually scramble over anything to get to them so fingers crossed.

I just told my Mum and she said he'll be back and probably married with 2 kids.  Not sure what planet she's on :rofl:

He's just made a reappearance behind the top fence but can't seem to work out how to get over it again.  We can't reach him from this side so we hope he works it out!

There's kind of an area of no-mans land at the back of the gardens which has lots of overgrown bushes and trees in it, probably a fantastic playground for him, he's definately a climber.

I put his litter tray outside just so he could smell his way home again :evillaugh:

I know that cats do this and I knew it had to happen sooner or later but I guess a part of me always hoped he'd just be happy in our garden.

Tonight, after 4 weeks of just pottering around our garden, Samson has decided that it would be a great idea to hop over the fence and go on a little adventure.

I so hope he comes back, I don't even care if it is to bring me a present.

I'm on the edge of my seat and my tummy is doing somersaults  :doh:
