:1st place: on your impending arrival  ;D I would start making little changes now, like keeping the door to the nursery closed so she doesn't associate the new arrival with being shut out of places she wants to go.  If you have any big things like the pushchair etc then leave them out so she can get used to them and again doesn't associate all these scary new things with the new baby.

:luck: and let us know how it all goes when the time comes

Congratualtions on your impending arrival  ;) and well done you for thinking of Hunny

The links that JS provided are great so I can't offer any more advice.

Start making changes before baby arrives so she has time to adapt and doesnt associate everything happening when a smelly baby turns up. Set aside some time for her and make sure she keeps her stuff, if she wakes up and finds all her fav sleeping places filled with baby equipment she may not be pleased!

Firstly, it's wonderful having someone care so much they ask this!

This is a link to a noises CD:

And this is a pretty good info link:

Hope that helps. :)

Hi all,
We're due to have out 1st (or 2nd after Hunny!) baby in Jan 2010. Hunny is a very stressed cat who gets cystitis at the slightest thing. We want to start preparing her for the new addition and wondered if anyone's been there done that? I've heard there's cd's with baby noises but can't find them or maybe there's a book somewhere that'll help? She's so used to being the centre of attention i'm so worried she'll feel rejected :scared: when the baby comes.
Thanks in advance!
xx
