TJ and Jake update:

they have lived in and outdoors - more than anything they are desperate for companionship.

So, both cats are affectionate and like company. They have been allowed indoors and outdoors.

If these guys are okay with one quiet, well behaved 6 year old and an indoor only home, I have a possible family for them - see post here.

I can't see a contact number, will look harder :) if anybody knows what Narda (possible new mum) needs to do next, just shout.

That would be great  :)

How do you do that here thing? - I have often wondered  :shify:

Beccles, that would be wonderful but I think TJ and Jake are used to outdoor access so the transition might be a bit too much for them. Might be worth be worth emailing Nicky to find out, though. (NicholaHolye@aol.com)

Let me know how it goes.  ;)

What defines urgent gill?
If they are in a home but at threat of being thrown out they are still needy, no they are not lying in the gutter at this moment in time but they would be if not sorted out promptly.

ETA found tans definition of urgent

No, they still need somewhere soon and I genuinely have no idea how the current owner is going to react to the cut off point (Nicky said it was urgent so I took her at her word) but the general consensus was seeming to be it wasn't so I moved it to here and changed the title to ASAP instead!

Yep  :) I was just wondering if you'd found out what the situation was - is it not as urgent now?

They aren't on the streets yet, no. But as I said - Nicky has no space, nor to my knowledge have they had any luck with any other rescues. I have no idea if these cats will be left to their own devices if a home isn't found as I've not been in touch with the owners. I'm going on what Nicky says and she classed it as urgent.

It's urgent because they never left their original home and have asked Nicky for assistance. Due to them still being in a house where the landlord has decided to enforce a "no pets" rule they now have to be out as soon as possible. Nicky has no foster space at present.

I think they briefly went into rescue but then the old owners took them back only to be told by their landlord that they had to get rid of them.... or that's how I read it, so I'm presuming they are with the original owners waiting for somewhere to go.

OK I am being dim here,,,,,but why is this urgent?

If they are in a rescue or with a fosterer, its not urgent unless a specific reason has occured

Mark it's not always that easy. Having been, in the past, someone that had to rent properties I know just how hard it can be to find a place where pets are allowed. Also for all you know these people may have other issues that make it hard to find a home to rent, such as being in a wheelchair or all sorts of other reasons they just couldn't up and move.

If the owners loved them that much, surely they would have moved to pet-friendly accommodation?

Aww that's so sad that they have lost their home because of a landlord.

They look gorgeous and well cared for, so the owners must have loved them.

I hope they find a forever home really soon.

TJ and Jake need a new home ASAP - Blackpool (HOMED)
« Reply #1 on: March 16, 2010, 17:55:45 PM »
TJ and Jake are between two and three years of age and urgently need a new home; preferably together but not essential. TJ is quite a reserved little lad who enjoys being allowed out and about, and cuddles on his own terms. Jake is a little more outgoing, but isn't good around dogs. He very much enjoys human contact. Both cats are house trained, neutered and up to date with innoculations.

(TJ and Jake were listed briefly on Nickys (Blackpool Cats in Care) site last year but their owners changed their minds. Transpires they weren't really able to do that as their landlord didn't want them to have cats.... :tired:)
