She did post a phone number in her 1st post Dabs  :)

I know, but if they are busy moving I might be disturbing them. If I am not up to scratch they may not want to tell me and I do not want to put them on the spot. I suppose I could send a text, but will have to get the 15 year old to do the texting as I that is one thing that I hate and try to avoid doing!

Well I have been in talks with her present owner, but have had no reply to my last email. :( So I think I can assume that I have not passed muster or that as they are in the process of moving they are busy.

She is a shy girl and apparently runs away from strangers, so all I would see would be the end of a tail disappearing into the sunset, however I did say that this would not deter me and she would be assured a good home here if they felt she would settle with the other felines and cannines. All I asked was that she was spayed before coming to me as she would recover far better inher present home than being whipped off to the vets virtually as soon as she landed here. I offered home checks, regular updates, they can come and visit her when they want etc.

and it would be much less traumatic for her to be 'done' whilst in a home and with people she is used to, rather than in a strange house with new owners

who also might not find it so easy to monitor her post op, as they would not know her usual ways so well as you do

Hi everyone, thanks for the interest. I would definately be willing to get her spayed if it would increase her chances of finding a loving home.

I haven't tried Petalcleanse but I will see if I can get my hands on some. :D

I have forwarded Meiko's details onto one of my colleagues .... she thinks she is gorgeous ... she's just got to work on her hubby  ;)  (No promises but you never know).

Yes, definitely get her spayed, its advisable even for indoor cats to avoid health problems later on. Just wondering, have you tried Petalcleanse? its a lotion that you just wipe on the coat once a week and it reduces the allergens. It takes a few weeks for the allergens to reduce so it would be worth perservering with, and you could take that time to get her spayed, and perhaps you won't need to part with her. This is the link for petalcleanse, you can get it online and at a lot of chemists http://www.bio-life.co.uk/

She is stunning and Im sure you wont have any probs rehoming her....  :Luv2:

Please, please please I ask you to get her spayed before you part with her as this will also give you the comfort of knowing she is homed to be a pet not a money spinner!  ;) :Luv:

PS... If you are on Council Tax benefit you can get a voucher from the CP that will only cost you £5 for her to be spayed!  ;)

could you get her neutered before you part with her, it will stop her ending up with a back yard breeder - good luck in finding a good home for her

Meiko is an adorable female tabby cat – small and kitten-ish looking. She is about four years old and has a playful and affectionate nature - although she is very shy until you get to know her!

Meiko has always been an indoors cat and as such has not been neutered (although of course you could get her done if you wanted to let her outside). She is in good health and has never has any illnesses or injuries.

I am very sad to have to let her go but my partner is becoming steadily more and more allergic to her fur/dander and it is making him quite unwell.

Our situation has become more pressing recently as we are having to move house quickly and ideally we do not want to upset Meiko by moving her once only to move her again when we find someone to take her.

If you think you can give Meiko a loving home please call Natasha on 07815942766 or email me at skank_now_sleep_later@hotmail.com

Thank you.
