It should have been given to us when we adopted him but he was in Amersham and his paperwork was in Watford.  They know that his boosters were due in approx August/September but said the paperwork would be posted to us after.  We thought it would be before 2 weeks though!  Hey ho, as long as we get them!

Took a while to get a response but Samsons certificate is being sent in the post to me today!

I was just about thinking as I was reading, I bet they forgot to give it you, glad it's sorted anyway  :)
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

I've sent an email over to the rescue (they asked me to keep them posted on how he was settling in anyway) so will hopefully hear back from them soon.

Thanks everyone.

You will definitely need certificates.  I would double check with the rescue whether they have them or whether they are just assuming they were vaccinated.  If they don't have them but they have been vaccinated, the vet may be able to issue certificates.  Without a certificate, the cattery won't accept them.

You will need to show that the cat has had both of the original vaccinations and not just the first one before most catteries will take a cat in. Obviously after the first ones boosters are fine

Hmmm I suspected as much.  Never crossed my mind until seeing it on the cattery website.  I've sent an email to the rescue so will hopefully hear back from them soon.

Yep, you'll definitely need the certificate.  The rescue should have it unless they were telling you he is vaccinated based on what his old owners say and if this is the case I'd be very dubious as to whether he is indeed vaccinated  :shify:

I'm looking into catteries at the moment for when we go away in September and have found a nice FAB listed one.  On their website it says about taking vaccination certs with us,  Should the rescue have given me this?  They told us approximately when he had them but I dont have anything to prove it
