So sorry to hear this - Fiend I am sure was very grateful to be rescued from the streets by you

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path that has been laid you see.

I took the hand when I heard the call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day.
To run, to love, to meow or play.

things left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void, then fill
it with remembered joys.

A friendship shared, a stroke, a kiss.
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full, I savoured much.
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee.
The Bridge wanted me now and set me free!

Terry I'm so sorry to hear of your loss ... my heart goes out to you.

RIP Fiend ... much loved and sorely missed by your Daddy.  Play hard at the bridge little man until you can meet up again.

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Hi.Recently I've had a dillemma. One of my cats, my old Fiend, has been losing weight and becoming generally lethargic. I've had him about two and a half years, he was about 15. He's been having blood tests. Today the results of his latest tests came back and Duncan, my vet, told me they were exremely bad. He had a massive infection, but there was probably something very sinister in his liver, as his liver enzymes were through the roof. My friend and I made the decision to let him go while he still had dignity, not that I think his quality of life was that great, but he still loved his chicken. He had chicken and ham before I took him to the vet just now. He had been abandoned twice on the streets and was living rough for years before I had him and I can only hope that he put his awful past behind him and enjoyed his life with me. My cats are my whole life, and he was so special. Grumpy and indepedent and vocaland utterly lovable. A real gentleman. Now he's gone and I am feeling lost. When I sat on the sofa he would climb down off the back where he slept and sit on my lap and kiss my nose. He had the loudest purr. The trouble is it's so final. One day I will see him again, but in this lifetime I will miss his dear old face. Just watched the animation of Rainbow Bridge. Not a good idea. Bye Bye my Fiendish Feeny. God Bless and RIP.
