seems like a waste if it will not help but hells bells youve done and spent so much to get this far, every product would be worth a try and i guess in your line of work you'll find a use for unused drugs in another needy cause,
fingers crossed that SOMETHING works.

Ive just looked up kaogel which is now called kaogelVP

It becomes clearer now our vet used to stock it but now prescribes Promax instead, and guess what, that does not help Jessica one bit.

I have just found that to so I may send for some. My goodness I will need to feed her as she will be full with the potions and lotions.

Ive just looked up kaogel which is now called kaogelVP ?  and its only active ingredient it lists is kaolin.

here if this link works then it should take you to the datasheet in the compendium (like a veterinary mimms...you know that doctors use .. lol, er has lists of all drugs and dosage, interactions etc etc)

http://www.noahcompendium.co.uk/Compendium/Overview/search.asp?search=kaogel

of course it used to be bubble gum flavoured which we could never work out why they decided cats and dogs would appreciate bubblegum flavour, i dont know if it still is.  (worked a treat on us though  ;D)

Has the vet actually come up with a diagnosis or is it all unclear what is causing this?  Is she fine in every other way?

In spite of numerous tests and I think some not yet thought of the vets cannot find exactly what is wrong. Over the years samples have been sent to the university hospitals and no one can find out what she has. Yes in every other way she is fine and that is why I am loath to let her go as she is still a very happy loving little soul. If she was miserable  then I would let her go, but she looks so well.

canikur

I cannot recall that name but over the years she has had so many potions and lotions, I still have loads of things that I have purchased from the net which have all proved in Jessica's case as much use as a chocolate teapot, and some of the quite expensive. I also have  loads of stuff from the vets. All we can do is try.

kaogel

They do have Kaogel so I am assuming there must be a little difference. Perhaps an additive or two.

Hope the meds work for her, ela.

Has the vet actually come up with a diagnosis or is it all unclear what is causing this?  Is she fine in every other way?

Lacto B is great for soft stools (I give it to Jaffa) although Jessica's case is obviously more than just soft stools.  Fingers crossed it works it's magic for her.

Well she is back home again with so many potions and lotions, it is going to take me forever to medicate her, also with my Jeannie on 4 different medications a day I am in for a fun time, but worth the effort. It really is now the last chance saloon, so I will have to see how she goes during the next few days.

is she a nervy cat ela ??

Not at all she is the most laid back, loving cat you could wish to meet, she has slept on my pillow since she was 5 weeks old. Very nice when she has a bad bum I can tell you.

I am dreading 3 O'Clock as I need to take Jessica (my cat with a bum like a cows backside) to the vets again. Last time it was the last chance saloon and she has had a good 3 weeks or so but during the night and this morning she is terrible, little bits (brown water like) coming out every so often, and it stinks. Unfortunately I have to keep her in the kitchen as I just cannot have it all over the house. I do keep going to her and she looks so well. The vets have tried everything over the years. I have made the appointment with  a relatively new vet (the one that gently put Badger to sleep) and sometimes they will try or know of yet another treatment. Although deep down I know I am clutching at straws.
