Tips for getting rid of the smell of stale cat urine

We've had alot of those to deal with with older cats and I found a spray from PAH called Stain and Odour good which cleans the carpet and gets rid of smell straight away works best if used straight away though.

It's their own make, the one I have has a pic of a dog and cat on and is in a clear container but I guess it's exactly the same just changed the container.

Well when we had our lovely Layla, although she was wonderful in so many ways- one of not so nice traits was her toiletting on the floor. Now in all the other rooms we have either updated the floor or somehow got rid of the stale smell. (I have had very honest friends tell me the truth about it!) the only problem is that in one of our spare rooms, There is a large patch which now the hot weather has come is really quiet stinky.

I know it's not recent urine and definitely just a remnant of what I couldn't get rid of but I wondered if anyone has any tricks for getting rid of the smell? I'd rather nopt have to buy a large carpet for one patch you see but I'm so not willing to have a stinky house.
