This is not allways the case.

It really depends on how they are socialised as kittens.

Maddy was really timid and untrusting for ages when I rescued her. My other rescue raggie Delphi has issues where she was treated badly in the past.

Did you get that info from the UKRCC website ?. It sounds familiar (I'm a fosterer for the UKRCC).

All the ragdolls I have brought up from kittenhood are very docile and over trusting which is a known quality of the breed. I would definitely agree that they crave human company and are usually very gentle cats.

Being a ragdoll authority would you agree with this I found:

They are extremely docile, affectionate, intelligent, playful, people-oriented cats that adore their humans. Always considerate and gentle, they make ideal pets for children and get along well with dogs and other felines. It is not surprising that these beautiful cats are considered the gentlest and most easy-going of the breeds.

My little Raggie girl fills some of this.  Not docile all the time she likes to smack my other cat - alot.  She's great with my nephew and my constant companion at home.  She does have a few issues - don't we all.

love to Maddy

Yes. I only have ragdolls now. Totally fell in love with the breed after rescuing my first one.  :Luv:

I have 7 in total.

4 seal colourpoints, 2 Blue colourpoints and a bi colour lynx.

Had my first raggie litter back in November.

They are so wonderful,  they love their cat tree dont they,  we used to have one but my lot didnt go anywhere near it and considering it took up nearly as much space as another chair in the living room it eventually found it's way to the nearest cats rescue.

I would love to get them all on there at the same time but I'm up against it.
