:evillaugh: Well i found another vets that will take her on Monday. So thats a little sooner anyway. Only thing is that i drop Pagan off at the small vets near me and then they take her in a car to another vets to do the op and then drive back to the smaller vets. Im sure its standard practice but i hope its not too stressful for her.

Teresa's "trick" worked on Ruby last night (even though used paper tissue instead of feather  :shify:)  Back to "calling" this morning though  :-:

She wants some more tickling  goes to show the only safe long term cure is spaying.

I have heard of breeder using this trick, also using a neutered Tom and letting them have "safe sex"

I would definately try and find another vet.

 just posted similar thing elsewhere, you need to use a long soft feather to tickle her fancy ..and gently pinch scruff, this will NOT stop the season but it will give you a couple of hours peace from her calling.

Yeah i thought it odd! I might do a call around and find another to do her asap. I can tell she will be in full heat within a few days. Iv heard of it before, but only through an online search!

Find a new vet!  >:(

Cats in heat will mate several times over so cant see how this will help. Did an actual vet say it or was it reception?

My vet cant take Pagan for her spay until Wed 6th May!! I told the vets that she will have probably started another season as she was showing signs of starting. They are too busy to take her sooner. I cant take another season as my flat mates complained a lot the last time as she was very noisey for a week! My vet said that if she started to be noisey that i was to take her into the practice and she would do the trick to calm her. As in make her htink she has been mated by using a sterile cotton bud. Has anyone had this done to their cat before!?
