If it went back to PDSA what did they do with it cos they bothe work out of the same building dont they?

If they scanned and found the chip why didnt they contacy the phone number, this is all beyonf=d belief and hope that the press can show everyone what  these idiots are like.

I think they need to redo their procedure, whats the point of scanning a potentially lost cat and dumping it back as lost before phoning the owners  hello mrs x we scanned your cat and released it again, i hope this helps you find him

Absolutely, that's ridiculous.  I thought that was the whole point of having a chip

I do hope you manage to find this little kitty soon

Just another thought, would it be worth notifying local vets, with a  'photograph and description, plus his micro chip number?

Stupid woman, what on earth did she think she could achieve?  Presumably the Vets Now vet pronounced him fit enough to release?

So that's why you didn't answer your 'phone earlier!  Phew! Jill, this cat is such a character, causing all this trouble, but it won't help him if he keep getting carted off in a box with a stranger.  If he travels so badly, how on earth did she secure the box?

I think there must be some CCTV of the car, and you could involve the police perhaps, and report him as stolen property.  I don't suppose the pub will be helpfu providing any copies of their CCTV as they may know who the woman is though. :(

Let me know if I can do anything girls, the more the merrier, and they will realise how seriously this matter is being taken!

Tigar is one of out 'golden oldies' being fostered by Jill. He hates being cooped up but everytime Jill lets him out , he goes across the allotments and over the road to a local pub. He has been featured before in the local paper blog and news.

http://cv5.coventrytelegraph.net/2009/01/jill-etherington-is-a-foster.html

Jill has been battling with a cat flu virus for the last month (even though all the cats are innoculated) and Tigar has been treated (along with several others) for this, but when he slips out (which he is very good at doing) ,he goes to his old haunt.

Since this article was published the pub has been taken over and the new people do not like the cat hanging around even though all they have to do is phone Jill up and she goes and fetches him. She even just turns up in the evening if he's out and its got to the point he would wait for her on the path by the car park.

Anyway, yesterday a customer at the pub took a box from the pub , bundled him in in and took him to pdsa/vets now. this woman was heard to be wittering on about how his owner obviously could not take care of the cat and how thin he was.

Now it all gets a bit hazy, depending on who you speak to.......so far the story goes.... it was 5 past 6 and pdsa were going home and told the lady to wait for the vets now vet. The cat was said to be in good health and scanned for a chip which he has and they advised the woman to put him back.
The pdsa despite saying they did not deal with the cat, say the chip details did not match Jills - very suprising as Jill microchips the cats after going on a course for us and also when he went missing last time for a few weeks was reunited by the rspca because of the chip. (plus if they didn't deal , how do they know the chip details were 'incorrect'). When I asked the pdsa how would the cat be paid for , they said that vets now looked at all stray cats for free (!). (Note to self - take in all cats as strays )

Vets now last night told Jill it was the pdsa's responsibility as they had booked him in.

As well as the chip he has a tag saying 'I'm chipped' and an essay in his collar (after the rspca excursion) saying that he is old and does wander with Jll's address and phone number.

Neither the pdsa or vets now took the womans details and as far as we know Tigar has not 'been put back' so at the moment he is officially missing.....

Jill is going up the wall.

We are going to go round to the pub at 1-30, have the telegraph on board to do an article about him and I have already spoken to the pdsa and told them we will be there just before 6 this evening so that we can get the story straight while both the pdsa and vets now are there as opposed to them both passing the buck.

Any other things we can do? >:(
