Belle has now gone to her forever (we hope!) home! I can not even tell you how pleased we all are. 5 and a half months in care (even though indoor fosterer with run of whole house so like a home) is far too long for any cat. She's now called Daisy and I am soooo happy for her.  :Luv2:

I am just soooo hoping all goes as planned. The viewing happened tonight which is where things have gone wrong before so am REALLY hoping this is it for our Belle/ Pudding! She so deserves it and I am so pleased for her fosterers who have become so (over)attached to her. They are over the moon that she's found a nice home with an experienced lady where she can be the only pet.

She is a nice cat but does need a very special, experienced owner who she can learn to trust. She didnt' end up going to the neighbouring branch in the end... long story but we thought we had a home and then didn't. She's still in our care but we have got to over our 16 week maximum now before we move her on so am having one last advertising boost then she will go to the Nation Cat Adoption centre. I am sure they will be able to give her a bit of extra support and then as they have so many people go to view cats there, I am sure they will home her.

Although I am sad we haven't found a home for her, we really have done everything we can. (Radio, weekly posters all over the area, putting her out on network for homes from other branches, half a page spread in local newspaper, internet. etc etc) Cause she takes a while to trust people and show her real self, and due to the fact she can't be with children, dogs or other cats along with being nippy means that anyone who has viewed her hasn't seen past her issues. I have no doubt the right owner is out there and she is so deserving, we just have to keep looking.

Wherever Belle's ideal mum/dad is hiding... please come out and show yourself!

there's some wealthy folk living around that area, and perhaps if someone had a big enough house she could go to someone who already had a cat

Belle's going to be moving to a fosterer at our neighbouring branch Crawley and Reigate. She will still technically be our cat but I'm hoping a new environment and some different potential adopters (they are a much bigger branch than us) will hopefully find her a home. Fingers crossed

Belle is gorgeous and you are right in that many people who would happily home her already have cats of their own but I am sure there will be someone just right for her soon.

i feel the same way.  i think she's beautiful and would happily give her a home if the circumstances were right.  where is she situated?

Oh poor Belle! We have even given her a half a page spread in a newspaper and still noone wants to home her. It really is such a shame. I think her main problem is that the people who are experienced with cats and realise that all she needs is patience, already have their own cats! She needs a quiet home on her own with someone who has lots of love and patience to give her. She really is a lovely cat, just very strong minded.
If any of you know anyone who could be a home for her then I would love to know!

:'( Sadly, even after being told all about Belle's quirks. She spent 10 minutes with her and said 'she's not friendly enough' to have.

Belle's precisely the sort of pud I'd want to bring home and make 'friendly' with my love and care, but there you are.  A better home awaits...
