an update!
Well it would seem that the hip is forming a false joint after all.... so the verdict being that if she can walk on it then why put her through the trauma of surgery and so are going to monitor her for another few weeks building on using the leg and see how it holds up.
From a 'look' point of view those that know can obviously still see that it is 'out of place' however the only other obvious thing of note now that she is allowed to walk a little on it is the fact she has a really bad limp.
She is such a sweetie pie and certainly for the time being I would like to hold on to her for another few weeks to get her used to walking on the leg again a little at a time with a view to building up the muscle again in that leg after weeks of cage rest.
I do wonder though how easy she will be to find a home for bearing in mind her bad limp albeit from my point of view I would much rather an indoor home only as I don't think she will be able to jump too well.... but then... we never know how well she will adapt now that she can start to use the leg again. Either way it still needs time to form properly and muscle to strengthen and in the meantime we will just have to monitor her and decide whats best for her as we go along.
