I suppose that would work. :) There is a link to Blackpool Cats in Cares site in the "links" section though.

Jack can I suggest you put a link on the cats for rehoming posts you make to Nickys site please. I found who "Nicky" is by reading through your old posts but would make it easier for newbies like me if you could
Thanks

What a worry it must be  :(

I would think there are lots of people contacting P O'G, a rescue not too far from me was on there the other month (I missed it not knowing it was on but later saw on the website)
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

Managed to talk to someone at the Blackpool Gazette today and they've agreed to run an article. :)

Oo that should get to a few peeps locally!  ;D

Ive contacted the Paul O'Grady show before about rabbits, thought it would of pulled on a heart string cos of him losing his own to that terrible mix. (you know the rest!) Unfortunately no response also!  :tired:

Already contacted the Paul O Grady show; no response. (When he was on.)

Will look up the One Show and find contact details.

EDIT: Emailed. :)

Also go big and try calling someone like 'The One Show' that is on every evening,   they sometimes do appeals for animals,   I know Paul O'Grady does appeals for dogs needing homes on his show but I dont know if he is on at the moment.

I can help you make up a flyer if you like just let me know.  If Nicky does re-home out of area then maybe all of us on here cant print out a copy of the flyer and take it to our local Pet Shops and vets so it covers a wide area.

xx

If a home check is particularly difficult, Nicky does allow vet references stating the quality of care given to previous pets. If a kitten is too young to be spayed or neutered, she requests proof to be sent to her place of work after the operation has taken place.

I don't mind doing that.  I'm originally from the Stoke on Trent area and alot of my 200+ friends on facebook are from that area and also Warrington/Manchester as that's where our other office is, so not too far away from Blackpool really.  Although maybe a bit too far for home-checks?

I do that regularly Daisy, but with cats in my area. I made a Blackpool Cats in Care facebook page.

Just an idea,  but I recently found someone who wanted two kittens by posting that a home was needed on my Facebook status,  if all of us with facebook accounts post details something like:

Does anyone know someone looking for a lovely cat ......... etc etc.

It worked for me

I know it is not a brilliant idea but it may work,  one comment on my facebook goes out to 200+ friends so if we all do it we would cover a lot of people in a short period of time.

Just had a text off Nicky and the poor girl really needs homes for some of the cats in her care - can anyone think of other places to post? I currently post on here, CatChat, Rescue Helpers Unite, Pet Rescue UK and have the site. Not sure where else I could put the information.
