You could always show us a picture. We've seen a lot of cats bits here!
My Tilly is very proud of her botty and always showing folks how clean she keeps it.
She does sometimes have some thin clear mucus around there, especially just after a visit to the tray.
I guess the question I'd like to ask is about the amount she's passing? Is it like a constant discharge that trickles down, or is it that her botty bit just appears to glisten?
Oh... and we promise not to tell your work mates you've been sniffing your cat's bum.
