Has to be said, in this case it's a moot point Sharon as the email received clearly states she's gone now. I hope she's safe and loved in the home environment she ended up in.

I know many, like myself generally, do not agree with paying people from these sites for kittens etc but this is slightly different in that it is not one kitten we are trying to get, but a whole family, and mum will be taken out of the kitten bearing circulation forever.

Think this covers that very point Sharon.

I dont wish to sound terrible! But is it right to reward in money for people like this.. When in fact they can go out tomorrow and just start it all again.....and then when do you stop...!

One local rescue to us saved a peg siamese a while back and paid an amount ot get her out of the conditions she was in.. 2wks later there was another one as well.. but this time they had to say no.. due to a downward spiral of trying to help but all it did was to line the pockets of the breeder..

just my thoughts.. sorry...
Cannot save the world, but if everyone does something we can have a jolly good job trying too....

hi she is settling into her new home now. sorry and thanks for the interest.

Just received the above in reply to my e-mail.  :'(

Special thank to Bonnielass, sadly we didn't get these - can only hope they went somewhere good. :wish:

May need help with another cause though, just waiting to hear if my offer of help has been accepted. :shify:

I think not hearing anything means they have probably gone elsewhere  :-[ but have sent another e-mail to ask if she managed to find a home and offering to take them still, and pay the £150, if she did not. :wish:

All things crossed here  xx

I have had an offer of assistance to pay for them if that is the route we have to take to secure them. (thank you, you know who you are  :Luv2:).   I know many, like myself generally, do not agree with paying people from these sites for kittens etc but this is slightly different in that it is not one kitten we are trying to get, but a whole family, and mum will be taken out of the kitten bearing circulation forever.

I think it will all be too late though.  Had an e-mail yesterday to say she had quite a few people interested in them.  Have offered the money to her now to secure them but I think someone else may have got there first. >:(

fingers are crossed you manage to get them....

and  to the person who has offered with financial help

What an awful person trying to make money out of her pets :censored: surely the poor cat whose just given birth doesn't need the stress of being moved around to new surroundings with her babies :(

I have family in Basildon if anything needs checking out etc or there is an emergency. I'm sure my sister would help. Basildon is a really dodgy area.

No I meant from here. If she is selling I doubt she would just give them away to a rescue, regardless of them having a better life  >:(

I dont understand how anyone can put a price on a life  :(

Who's going to pay the £150 she wants?

Somebody who sees 5 x kittens at £60 each plus one mum at £60.  £150 for £360 return :censored:

Can't you tell her your other half is a tax inspector and you might have to ask him to look into her finances if they are not handed over?

Have sent an e-mail to the lady.  She is asking £150 for mum and kittens!!!  I have asked if she is willing to let them go for free to to a rescue  but don't hold out much hope.  :(  Apparently the cat's last litter sold for £60 per kitten!!! :censored:

If we get the mum & kittens, this will be mums last litter and babes will be safe.

You'd like to think that's the way the owner would see things, but I don't think that will be the case.

You mean she is actually willing to let them go at that age!!!

If anyone can help to get them down south here, I have space for them, but due to work difficulties cannot take time off to travel that far unfortunately.

Can anyone in the Basildon, Essex area help someone who is trying to market her cat and kittens (born yesterday)?  She has a big dog, two little dogs and 3 children and is not coping.  :censored:

Please PM me for further details, as it is from one of those computery sites.  Thanks.   :thanks:
