My cats tail

Your so right, a few weeks ago I could not get her to go out for love nor money, now she wants to be out much more.  I can't keeep her locked in but I am keeping an eye on her.
Got her first lot of painkillers down-no problem-phew

Sorry but couldnt resist that, the only time you want them to rest they want to be more active than they have ever been in their lives

No-tail cats do get on Ok, though.  My Gizmo coped after losing his tail and I know that Beautiful Bonnie and Gorgeous Owl Capone are fine too

Yep

Had an xray today and she has dislocated her tail, i would say one third down.  Its only very slight.

She is ment to rest and I have painkillers for her.

How on earth she has done that I have no idea, and will probably never know.

Just glad that it's not a nerve issue, and she will recover.  ( you imagine her losing her tail)

this happened to my Jack.  his tail was completely limp,had a bit of movement the following day and then went limp again.  turned out he'd been stung by a bee.

Ahhh poor baby .... I would keep a close eye on her and as Gill says go with the vets advice. 

I would also suggest that she is kept indoors until you've spoken to the vet again.

Hi

On Thursday my cat came in with a limp tail.  She was sitting on it at one stage.  we took her to the vet who gave her painkillers and anti inflammatories, and to come back to xray the tail

She started to hold the tail better, she was not sitting on it and started to move it, so we've decided to hang fire on the xray and review her Monday.

Today the tail is a bit worse, its gone limp again but a least she is not sitting on it.

The strange thing is she is her self, talking, eating, generally being her lovely self.

Its all very starange

? could it be nerve damage
