I wouldn't call it a habit, but Izzy just talks and talks! Anytime I'm on the phone, she's there to join in, however she talks when I'm not on the phone too. She sits and has full conversations with me until we both go to bed for baw baws! I love it, however I work from home so it's not always ideal lol. Some of my colleagues in Miami now know her, as do a lot of my European colleagues. I'll be on a conference call and she appears giving it Eeeeeeepp, yiiipppp, chirrrrupppp, EEeeeeep. I was on a conference call last week and someone said, "where's Izzy?"

Just remembered an odd thing that Mosi does.  If you throw a piece of dry food or treat in his direction he jumps in the air and runs away as though it is poison   I was trying to get him to finish his tea today before Jaffa scoffed it and there wasn't much left - just a few pieces of dry kibble - so I picked them up one by one and tossed them towards him (he was only a couple of feet away).  They didn't touch him but he recoiled as though they had bitten him  :shify:

Max likes to sit on a lap like a baby/teddy watching wildlife programmes on the telly. You don't have to hold him, he just sits there unassisted. When he was a kitten, he used to 'kill' the washing - drag socks of the washing basket and carry them around in his mouth, growling. (that stopped when he tried it on a duvet cover ).

The oddest were in Cape Town in the early 1980s where I had Moggy, my gentle rescue fluffgirl and Louis the burmese.  Moggy used to do helicopter hover jumps straight up in the air with her tail vertical and land in the middle of my mum's hydrangea bush whenever the wind blew north. (It's called a berg wind and is warm and makes people and animals twitchy!).

And out there, the garden was a narrow strip of grass with bushes either side and Louis the burmese hooligan, used to love to play cricket. We used to play in the garden. Louis used to go into attack crouch on one side in the bushes, then when the ball was hit (the harder the better) he would fly out and take it full on amidships, roll over with it, kick it with his back legs, then take off making rrrrrr noises to the other side bushes....go into attack crouch again and wait for the next shot. Loony.

Hendrix has recently developed a fascination with spiders that are up by the ceiling.
He wanders round the house looking up the walls until he spots one and then crys at me to pick
him up so he can get closer to it ...... my fault for holding him up to see one a few weeks ago ,
ill forever be paying for that act of kindness.

Noa flops herself on my husband, gazing at him adoringly, mostly when he is at his PC working  :innocent:
She also loves our labrador Emma, always begging for the dog's attention.
Fairy is one big strange habit, she lives outside, sleeps with the guinea pigs, in the hay if she succeeds in opening the hay box. She hates other cats, she's always grumpy towards them.
Saffron behaves like a dog, showing she wants out, and knocking on the bedroom window when she wants back in, she also goes out when I ask her if she needs to pee.
The other ones are quite normal   :shify:

Magnus doesn't have any really wierd traits...  he runs straight over you when he wants attention, but i've known other cats do that.

Although he doesn't get in the least bit terratorial.  He seems to look on all other cats as potential friends...

George washes things.  Anything.  Other cats, people, the carpet, doors, you name it.  Even the vet thought it was bizarre when he went and started licking the side of the scales...

He also like the dvd player.   And the cd player.  When he hears the dvd machine open, ( or a dvd box click), he will come running, even if he's been fast asleep at the other end of the house.

Lupus' strangest habit is choosing cucumber over chicken.  he does love chicken but if you offer him both he'll choose the cucumber everytime.  there have been a couple of occasions when he's got it out of the shopping bag while my back has been turned. if that happens i have to let him have it and cut the chewed bits of when he's finished.  you get sworn at if you go near his chicken but you're liable to get a swipe if you touch his cucumber  :evillaugh:

Merlin always wees down the bath plughole, he'll poo in the tray but i don't thinki've ever seen him wee in there.

Fat Andy does the flirty tail wiggle thing that females usually do when they are in season.  she's never had a season but does that all the timeyou're talking to her.

Teddy bear is velcro cat, can't stand or sit still for more than 30 seconds or she'll launch herself.

Sam loves a proper cuddle.  he puts his front legs around your neck and really snuggles  :Luv2:

Mouse is a nose biter.

i think the rest are pretty sane

I probably shouldn't do this but it is funny ...... Mr T comes into the kitchen when I'm serving up food and if something is appropriate - chicken, fish, meat  - tiny drop of cream - I put some aside for him.

Sometimes he drives me mad and I just want to sit down and eat - he wont wait patiently until the food is cool .....  Its  "Miaow, miaow, miaow, miaow, miaow!!!"

So I give in .....

Have you ever watched a cat who thinks he is starving chasing a piece of steaming sausage around the kitchen floor ?

Misa likes to eat one mouth of cat food and then one mouth of biscuits, he laso takes the chunks out of the cat disj=h and eats them on the floor.

He also tells me when he wants me to go with him by walking round my chair and I am then to follow, if I dont he well keep ion repeating thisn until I do and I get quite annoyed when all he wants me to do is go and watch over him while he eats

Today the greenhouse was nice and warm until Misa banged on the door to come in. I put down my papers and let him in and round my deckchair and wanted out. This carried on until he got me to come in the house and sit at the computer. He is now asleep on his desk by my side and has been since we came in!

Jess has strange eating habits, he starts with his food bowl on the front door mat, then when his had enough of eating there he goes and sits on the carpet around the fat boy scratch post and I have to move his food there, then finally he has to finish the food off in his cardboard box - indulged Jess, never LOL  ;)

Occasionally when Jess has been a bit stressed and hasn't had a wee, I call him and say lets go wee wees and walk with him to the litter tray he'll go - but only if I'm not watching, when his done he'll headbutt me on the way past as if to say I've been now.

Milo is just funny in every way, as soon as he hears any form of running water he comes charging though the house to the source and sits and watches it. Milo never misses us having our dinner either he always sits at the table with us.

Both boys know what walkies, treat, biscuits and vet mean oh and yum yums  :evillaugh:

Flynn won't drink tapwater from the cats' drinking bowl in the kitchen.

He wants me to pour mineral water into the botttle top and then lap it out of the bottle top while I am holding it! Once the bottle cap is empty he pats my hand with his paw to tell me to fill it up again.

As this is the only time he sits on my lap, I confess I enjoy it.

Charlie throws things off the computer desk if he wants my attention.  I actually watched him yesterday picking up an empty stamp folder and chucking it on the floor.  He does this in the kitchen too if he wants more food.

Summer has also been known to jump into the fridge if you have the door open and mention "ham".  Its known as "the h stuff" in our house because she bugs and bugs you for some if you mention it

My parents and sister also know thats its unmentionable as they have seen her do it   :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

Kylie is the same with the word FISH  - Wherever she is, she will come running. We think she has also mastered TREAT - she loves her Webbox so much, she was actually drooling yesterday waiting for me to open one

This isn't exactly weird, but it is very annoying.  Jaffa rubs his chin against everything, esp when he's getting fussed.  He walks round in circles purring and rubbing his chin against whatver (he is rarely still when being fussed).  Trouble is he does it so vigourously that he knocks stuff over all the time.  Every morning he knocks stuff off my bedside table as he stands with his back legs on the bed (beside me) and his front paws on the table then rubs his head on box of tissues/book/handcream/clock etc and knocks at least one thing on the floor.  He's just been walking all over me an rubbing his head on papers on my computer desk - they are now on the floor.  I wish he would do it with less gusto!

Capone always follows me everywhere. And everytime I walk from the bedroom to the kitchen, he'll insist on running inbetween my legs, and stopping several times on the way (this is extra difficult at night). He usually stops to roll around on his back, but also to stretch or scratch his claws on the carpet. It's so hard not to step on him when he does this - he just randomly stops really suddenly, so nearly always trip over him.

Where do I start with the Clan Cats!

Sweetie - only sleeps on Mummy and belts everything in site for no apparent reason - I love her and she has us truely wrapped round all 4 paws!

Blue our latest feral will only come in the kitchen for his cat milk as long as he thinks we can't see him - if someone else has been at the bowls and you try to top it up it takes him about an hour to come and try again - in the mean time the others drink the milk no wonder he is really fit!

Miss Cissy, Ragamuffin and Smudger a.k.a. the Waterybutts trio all use the same grit box one after the other they even time it!

Sailor - another feral walks about howling in the morning till you give him his breakfast saucer and he will continuwe to yowl till he thinks its in the right place - this can take 15 mins or more!

Sparkle another feral will only eat cheese from her Daddies dinner plate not from the floor or from me if Daddy is out!

Minmin the ragdoll only uses the bidets for her ablutions - she is a pedigree you know

And so it goes on I will add more later - 8 down 35 to go

Lexy is similar, she will not sit on a lap unless its covered by a blanket and it has to be smoothed out so she has no bumps to contend with.

Skye pads and cries at the water bowl before she takes a drink.   :evillaugh:

Summer won't get on the settee until you have put her special blanket there for her to lie on - she then inspects it to make sure its neat and tidy before she lies down.   :naughty:
