"Cooing" to my knowledge is a sign of submission as far as I'm aware. It means that Felix is recognising that Louie is in charge, so to speak. (Don't worry too much about that, there's nearly always a dominant personality in a multicat household. Unless it becomes aggressive it isn't usually too much of an issue.)

Are Felix and Louie both quite food orientated? It might be their want for food is overpowering their need for their own space.

Louie bows his head first? That's interesting; both cats appear to be being submissive in different ways. Although it does sound as though Louie is the slightly more dominant of the two. Does the head lowering  happen indoors, outdoors or both? It might be that one cat feels more at ease outside and the other more inside. (Obviously, if Louie and Felix are indoor cats, this isn't relevant.)

-  If Felix and Louie cross paths, Louie bows his head down to Felix, then Felix does the same??

Sound like they a both not giving each other a defensive look, both giving each other an accepting greeting as if to say "no threat here friend".

as far as the eating goes I think they can be very tolerant if they are hungry!  not sure about the other things though, there are a few behaviour people on here who might know, Jackspratt springs to mind

We have been trying to get Louie and Felix to get on for weeks now, and i know it takes time but .... what do these mean?!

-  Felix coos (like a bird) when he sees Louie, then runs away to hide?

-  When Co-co Felix and Louie are eating dinner, they will sit next to eachother but ONLY when their eating?

-  If Felix and Louie cross paths, Louie bows his head down to Felix, then Felix does the same??

-  Felix (although VERY vocal) wont meow if Louie is in the house??

I have looked up cat behaviour on the internet, and found the reasons to some of my other questions, but these............. i have no clue?
Can anyone help?

Sonnie x   :shy:
