EINSTEIN'S THEORY OF CAT BEHAVIOUR

LAW OF CAT INERTIA - A cat at rest will tend to remain at rest, unless acted upon by some outside force, such as the opening of cat food, or a nearby scurrying mouse.
LAW OF CAT MOTION - A cat will move in a straight line, unless there is a really good reason to change direction.
FIRST LAW OF CAT ENERGY CONSERVATION - Cats know that energy can neither be created nor destroyed and will, therefore, use as little energy as possible.
LAW OF BAG/BOX OCCUPANCY - All bags and boxes in a given room must contain a cat within the earliest possible nanosecond.
LAW OF FURNITURE REPLACEMENT - A cat's desire to scratch furniture is directly proportional to the cost of the furniture.
LAW OF CAT COMPOSITION - A cat is composed of Matter + Anti-matter + It Doesn't Matter.
LAW OF CAT OBEDIENCE - As yet undiscovered.

Pleased you found him  ;D

Last week I was searching the house for Franta and could not find him anywhere and as it was very late didnt really want to go out in the snow.

Was on the second circuit of the house and he turned up, still not a clue where he had been and it wasnt outside//////////sigh

Max has a habit of doing this, being black he can shrink into most corner unnoticed if he wants to, or will always find a black fleece somewhere to curl up on  :tired:

I swear they laugh at us when they go into 'stealth mode'  :evillaugh:

Naughty Mosi  :naughty:  Byron does it all the time too! When we first adopted her - near Christmas time and she wasn't around we thought she had nipped out when Steve went to the garage.  We kept going to the door and calling her and this went on for about  hours.  Anyway suddenly I heard a collar rattle from the kitchen and she had got in the deep kitchen drawer and was curled up in there  :evillaugh: and I was once going out and couldn't find her and it turned out she was in my wardrobe.
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

Glad you found him.  Summer once had me walking the streets for half an hour shouting for her while hubby searched the house for about the tenth time.  We thought that she had managed to get out the front door when my parents had left.  He rang me to say that she had just appeared from upstairs somewhere - still no idea where  :shy:

The worst thing is that Jaffa was snoozing on the bed and Mosi was obviously having a nap somewhere.  But ever since I disturbed them both by calling Mosi, they've been a pain in the  :censored:  Both just wanderng around wanting attention.  I wish I'd just left Mosi to it.  He'd have turned up in the end!

They are disturbingly adept at disappearing right under our noses - my lot do it all the time - I have sussed Esther - she curls up on the jumper that she matches perfectly - but I suspect Smidgen has a cloak of  invisibility ...

I've told him off for scaring me like that.  And now Jaffa has been woken up and is wandering around whining for attention (he was snoozing on the bed).  I should have let sleeping cats lie.

I've found him.  I called him and Jaffa came  :shify:  I called him again and a sleepy, warm Mosi emerged from the bathroom.  I did look in the bathroom but I didn't put the light on.  However, the bathroom is the size of a postage stamp and he wasn't on the boxes by the radiator (he used to sleep there) and there was no Mosi shaped lump on another box containing stuff.  I guess he must have been curled up very small on the second box (which has something lying on top of it plus a t shirt that had fallen off the airer).  he'd obviously been curled up somewhere or by a heater.  He's far too good at hiding.

Have you tried rattling kitty treats?  I sometimes cant find Mr T - being black, & if he shuts his eyes too, he disappears beautifully into dark corners.  But he alays come running for munchies  ;)

Hope he turns up soon ....

Actually getting a bit worried now.  I've looked everywhere.  I know he can't have got out because I haven't opened the door for anything, and I'm pretty sure that if he was stuck somewhere he'd be making it known.  But where is he?  I'm going to have to resort to calling him (which will disturb him if he's asleep and will disturb Jaffa too).

Can't find Mosi anywhere.  I know he is here somewhere (no doors or windows have been opened since I last saw hime) but I can't for the life of me find him!  I'm always losing Mosi.  I live in a one bed flat - how is that possible?   He'll be hiding somewhere.  I think I'll go and look under the sofa now, although he usually only goes there when he's hiding from intruders.
