Oh Grit,

I've only just seen this...have been away for a few days and am devastated.  So, so sad to read about your darling little girl. I can only imagine how heartbroken you must be feeling.  God, if only the farmer had only seen or heard her before...poor, poor little love.

R.I.P. Matilda sweetheart...a short but sweet life.  You were loved very much and can now run free in meadows that hold no dangers.

Am thinking of you Grit.

Lots of love

Remember Our Love

I was chosen today
I'm learning to fly
the world took me away,
but please don't you cry

And I chose you today
to try and be strong
so please don't you cry
and don't say that I'm gone

When you're feeling alone
just remember our love,
I'm up near the stars
looking down from above.

Remember our love
In a moment you'll see
that I'm still here beside you
when you're thinking of me.

Thanks everyone.  Its hard knowing we won't see her again.  At least I know, which is making it easier to come to terms with than the loss of Cromwell, where we never did find out. She was my special baby and I loved her so much despite her little troublesome moments :( I shall miss her so much and she was taken so young, not even two  :'( :'( :'(

Thank you again

I've only just read your thread about Matilda, having not been online for a while. I'm so, so sorry to hear what has happened to your beloved little cat. Believe me, I do know how you feel - my darling Bat cat went missing last year and it was a month and a half before I found out she had died. I will never know exactly what happened to her, but can only hope she did not suffer, as I dearly hope your Matilda did not either.

Great big hug to you. I hope, like me, you find comfort from the good wishes of all the wonderful people who come on this site. It helped me so much.

Matilda is dead - RIP little one
« Reply #1 on: February 17, 2007, 16:42:59 PM »
To all of you who have given me such support over the last two weeks, I want to say thankyou.

I am very sad to report that the farmer came to see me this morning to say they had found Matilda's body yesterday evening in a pipe in the grain store on the farm.  He said they couldn't tell how she had died but she could have become trapped in the machinery of the pipe or eaten a poisoned mouse.  They buried her on the farm in a little grave.

RIP little one, at least the suffering is over and you are in a better place now  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
