OH brought him last night whilst I was partying at works do.  Noticed area was weeping yesterday morning so stoped dithering.  He now has a tube of fuciderm. Vet thinks maybe a bite that Freddie has been scratching with back foot so clipped claws of relevant foot and gave him a jab of something (assume anti inflammatory).  Another £45  :(  I know Freddie's worth it and vet and VN both laughed at OH's jokes but still......

bearing in mind also the time of year and closures it may be an idea to get it seen sooner rather than later just in case it decided to flare up worse over the festive break and your stuck without access to a vet.    it'll put your mind at ease too hun!

I find this so annoying when they know your cat suffers with something that recurrs and what helps it and wont just let you have it.

I think if its bad then you will have to take hoime to the vet to get some cream grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Thats the law Gill and vets are tied to it, continued use of topical steroids isnt ideal so a check up wont hurt and maybe theres a different course of action to take

As its happened several times i would take him in, if not treated you risk infection and then these things take twice as long to heal up!  :tired:

Have you changed food at all?

Freddie came to us about 2 years ago only; seems like yesterday in some respects.

When he first arrived he had skins probs round his neck and chest, like little sores. Not terrible and went with some fuciderm cream. Vet suspected may be stress related condition (Noni currently being a bit rumbustious playing with him, altho he usually starts it   )

Has come and gone in a very minor way on occasion since maybe 3 times without treatment.  Seems to be back worse than it has been and I'm dithering about another vet visit.  Just rang vet to see if I could just pick up a tube of fuciderm as I am at the vet for one thing or another pretty well every month it seems.  She said had to be a vet visit as too long since last spell.   I'm tempted to leave it and see of it goes again on it's own.  Am I terrible?
